  1. Lesson learned, never trust a volt setup without an inline fuze. I did the same thing with neons in a competition vehicle when I was young.
  2. Youll want the engine manual also. I looked at my carb without one and said... ha, im never getting this off.
  3. I hope that baby went through the ultrasonic
  4. Is that a bullet weight you have on there?
  5. Never has this video been more appropriate
  6. What are you attempting to do, melt baits?
  7. Do they have any other stores in the state? Yes great for convience but if a company doesnt have a store in your state you dont pay tax on online purchases.
  8. I store mine at my parents house. You wanna talk about tricky getn a boat in the driveway, they live on a street thats barely two cars wide and the driveway itself is barely two wide. Although its a back road people use it as their shortcut to avoid traffic and lights. It never fails, every time I go to back it in, someone comes flying down the road. Ive gotten pretty efficient at it that if I can have 30seconds to a minute of no interuption I can get it in there perfecto. My place is big enough to store it, but I live in an apt also and the owner complained about it being on the grass. Worked out anyhow cause its easier to charge it at home. Home is on the way to my house and the lake from work so I pick it up when I fish and drop it off before work.
  9. I think you and another guy your size with gear and a motor are really going to push the limit on that weight restriction. Heck my boat has like a 580lb weight restriction and its 17'
  10. What do you want to know, I have done one. Its a TON of work Heres basically what I did... Measured, measured again, then measured again. Frame out the interior where you want the decks using 2x4's and 2x2. Once you have the frame in, then you go and get yourself some half inch plywood(half is plenty because the deck is short and you have a frame). Take a big piece of cardbord or paper and cut out a template of the deck. Leave a little space for the carpet to go between it and the gunnels. Cut out your plywood decks and coat the entire thing in about five coats of thompson waterseal. Let it dry between applications. Once its dry get your carpet, a razorblade and carpet adhesive. Make sure you use a groved spreader, spread out the adheasive and let it get tacky. Lay the carpet down, google how to make the corners nice. on the carpet. Make the decks so they only require a few screws to remove them incase something gets underneath. You also want to add a bilge pump, with that much weight you will sit much lower. In the event a big boat comes by and sends a wave over the stern you need a way to get that water out quick. You can see the one I did three posts down from the top on this page: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/25485-show-your-ride/page-33
  11. You might wanna check your pulse if theres nothing in the entire catalog you would like to have. Every time I open the thing I stare at that pixy R for at least five mins.
  12. Returning the bass to the depth is all well and good as long as you dont have a weigh in.
  13. I fish a private pond here in PA sometimes thats under 1/2 an acre. It has gills and bass in it. The gills are big and the bass are even bigger. Theres a 10lb fish in there for sure. I havent fished it in a few years but it has zero maintence done to it. Spring fed though.
  14. To answer your question, no its not ok to wear logos on a fishing jersey for whom you are not sponsored. The very first question at checkout is do you have permission to use these logos.
  15. Are you fishing rivers or lakes, whats your preference on gas, whats your tow vehicle, are you fishing tournaments...
  16. Felt so bad, I decided to consider my tag filled and never went out again. Thats the way it should be, good on you
  17. This buck lives inside a state park that only allows you to hunt doe's with archery tackle. Im actually gonna go down there this afternoon for one last hunt, cant hunt him though.
  18. I fish it exactly like a normal jig but I am not so quick to get it back to the boat as a jig. You definitely want to slow the drop. Try rigging it backwards also for a different look. Color to me means everything, black and blue might be the hottest color ever but if the water is gin clear I come up millhouse on them.
  19. How are you rigging them? Every which way?
  20. If I were you and I REALLY thought this could stand a chance what I would do is make a bunch and send them to the elite pros free of charge. You might get lucky and someone will love it and run with it back to their manufacturer.
  21. Good luck with that. Let me tell you a story... Back in my hay day of being a pro fly fisherman I worked very closely with well known manufacturers. I invented a fly that wasnt on the market that was all beads that mimic'd salmon roe to a T. The very first time I tested it on presured erie tribs I absolutely creamed them in a crowd of people coming up empty. I took this fly to my sponsor. They took one look at it and said someone can replicate this fairly easy, no way are we spending time on a brand new pattern that most fly tiers could figure out eventually how to tie. The problem is just that, unless its so unique in the manufacturing process you really dont stand a chance. As a rookie(you look fairly young) and likely unknown a big name company isnt going to slap your name on a bag of baits when they already paid a pro to deck their entire boat in their logo. They might if youre lucky take the bait and make it but it wont wear your name.
  22. The smaller containers you can buy at dollar general or walmart with a snap lid will hold 20-30 bags in their original bags for like five bucks. I actually took a plano spinnerbait box and took all the dividers out of it too for soft plastics. My spinnerbait box is a regular 3700, I only keep about a dozen on hand and Im not sure why that many cause I dont hardly fish them.
  23. All of my rods are 6'6, at 5'10" I just feel awkward with anything more. Ive never had a distance issue.
  24. Nice video, I use a tool that does a nail to nail that I have never once had fail. In fact, I tie all of my custom fly leaders this way and have put many 15lb steelhead on them. This tool allows me to make the connection in under a minute. This way you are doing it is great if youre not in a giant hurry! http://www.basspro.com/Tie-Fast-Knot-Tyer/product/22917/?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&om_mmc=shopping_googleproductextensions&affcode_c=17kw3123396&SST=6db22da6-e9a3-3148-e34e-00000af335ca
  25. I have been making a few, those were my very first jigs. Ive started doing color separation like actual prey. I tied one last night that had sixty strands of silicone and thirty strands of living rubber. Ive looked at the crankbait thing also, might try that some day, there are guys out there who do amazing paint work on cranks. When i first started fly tying about 9 years ago I bet I threw my first 500 flies either in the garbage or other peoples boxes because to me they werent what I was buying. The fact was though, they caught fish. Sure it takes time and patience to perfect things but this really isnt that hard. Hard is tying burned wings(made out of a feather) onto a size 20 hook.
