  1. cheaper than a deer lease, by a long shot
  2. Im getting ready to test 15lb mccoy super clear, its a copoly
  3. what kind of storage box is that?
  4. What it should be is eye opening for state biologists. I cant believe how many states spend money to stock trout in waters that cant support them once temps rise instead of spending said money on warm water species, habitat, launches...
  5. lets make one thing clear, the rods youre throwing a skinny dipper on, wont like these bigger baits.
  6. i throw hudds in pa, im gonna attempt to throw one at a smallmouth here soon, theyll eat it.
  7. between the jdm baits and the swimbait market, you almost need a lottery win to fish.
  8. A little at first, dont get it on bare skin if you can help it, its not gonna burn your skin off but its not great for you either. Thats why you treat stuff and wait for it to dry. I assume youre asking relating to hunting. In the spring it doesnt matter, turkeys cant smell. In the fall, if you were really concerned hanging them outside for a few days after or even one wash cycle would make it not noticeable. I personally also have an ozone machine, so anytime something becomes really offensive, I just run it through that on a cycle. Ozone is bad for gear though so I dont do it often. I dont buy into the scent free industry personally. Now, dont get me wrong I dont go wearing cologne into the woods but if I dont shower I dont get worried because I play the wind to the best of my ability. Yeah I get busted sometimes, but its not that often. Ill take a little scent over ticks. What I try to avoid is doing things like pumping gas before hunting. Another thing I have seen is that scent free soap seems to help keep the bugs at bay, along with this stuff. I dont get eatn up like I used too.
  9. Ill have to do an updated version soon, since i last posted my gear has really changed
  10. And I thought fifteen was bad
  11. 10 more days and ill be on Chautauqua again.... man i hope theres no cold front this year.
  12. what year did you buy the bb1 pro? we talkn the one with the carbon handle? it doesnt have dual brakes, it has externally adjustable centrifugal. The tournament pro has dual
  13. they should pick a team and play on it with a brake system. you either want pins or you want external centrificals or you want mag brakes. i like mine but i would not buy another
  14. i use it, i make my own, if youve ever been on the hunting forums you might have seen my posts. its way to expensive to treat as much stuff as i do with pre mix. I do it for ticks here in the north east. Get a bottle of a product called Permethrin 10(i buy at tractor supply in the horse section, looks like a bottle stabil would come in but clear). Mix that 1oz to 20oz of water in a spray bottle. Spray on clothes till pretty damp, hang to dry. Can take 6wks or 6 washings, which ever is first. DO NOT wear while damp. 1 - 8oz bottle is about $8.99 = 5 cents an ounce 1 -20z bottle pre mixed is the same price = 44 cents an ounce You can buy it in even bigger bottles and get an even better deal.
  15. There should be nighttime speed limits everywhere. When I hear guys screaming up some of these big lakes with that 250 wide open thinking about them going 80mph gives me chills. Heck, 60 is about my limit of comfort in day time, 80 is just insane, add night, no thanks.
  16. Yeah I can imagine trying to film would get old having guys all over you. Imagine if KVD, Ike, Ish, Martins or someone like that had a weekly show on known lakes. There would always be some yahoo in the background. The hunting industry thrives on hunting private land and yet people buy into it thinking every property holds a 150" buck.
  17. There nothing like a bad braking design to ruin my day. When you can contact the spool through the entire cast and still birdsnest, you know youre dealing with junk.
  18. I dont lock down drags either, seems like foolery to lock the drag, why even have one. At some point something has to give, I certainly dont want it to be the rod. I hate leaders but its almost impossible to break 65lb braid.... almost. I wish i could invent a different style of lure retriever and call it the line retriever. It would go down as far as it could and cut your line.
  19. Have you seen booyahs new rigs? They basically took a carolina rig, added WIRE to the back and sell it as the ability to take a crankbait to any depth.
  20. Im not risking it, no way no how. Go out and buy good lures, better hooks, the best line, the best rods and reels and then throw $75 down a day on fuel and worry about if the next big one is gonna bust a split ring? I would have to see it prove itself in some extreme tests first. It would have to be reliable enough to get the bait back while at the same time reliable enough to hold a 20lb fish.
  21. Backing a trailer should be an optional class you can take. I agree, it makes life so much easier. One middle ground I have found(wife cant back up the boat trailer) is that I back the trailer to the water, get out, get in the boat and then have her pull the trailer to the parking spot or off the ramp. A lot of boat owners dont know how to do it, so my expectations for a co are pretty low on backing a trailer.
  22. In my mind suffix is the best
  23. My motor is an orig 92 two stroke, someone has a story about me somewhere I'm sure.
  24. unless youre really smoking fish you should be changing crankbaits fairly frequently. I personally am trying to get better about that aspect, lazy i guess.
  25. ive caught 95% of my fish this year so far on a 78 size LC
