  1. Glades, I was out there also on Friday. Had the day off and took my little girl out. She used nightcrawlers and I was throwing senkos and 7 in worms. I am a novice with soft plastics so it was great practice for me. Like you said, they were hitting on almost every cast. Between baiting her hook and untangling her cast attempts I still managed about 25 dinks but it was fun. She caught 7, so she is hooked!
  2. Thanks for the replies. I figured as much. I wait years to get a boat and when I do we are going through the worst drought in decades..... I'll stick to the rim canal then. Any particular style of artificial fishing that is most productive in the canal?
  3. I have never been very successful at catching bass on worms but have been reading for a few years about how easy Senkos are to use. I just couldn't believe something that looks like that could catch bass. Well, last week I bought a pack of watermelon green Tiki sticks, rigged one wacky and I'll be damned if I didn't catch a bass on my first cast. I nearly fell out of the boat I was laughing so hard. Anyway, I went on to catch 6 total and have been converted. Also, thanks for the Senko FAQ posted on this site. That's what finally got me moving.
  4. I am planning on a trip to Okeechobee later this month. I want to put in at the Clewiston ramp. My question is......should I stick to the rim canal for my first trip? It seems there is access once I am through the lock leading into the lake. Any other advice would be welcome. Thanks
