I work on an Oil Drilling rig as an Electronics Tech. My schedule is 21 days on and 21 days off. Its great to be able to fish all I want for 21 days, but with my schedule its hard to get in a club, or to fish a tournament trail reliably.
Well,
We fished BassNbucks Saturday and caught a lot of fish. We caught White bass, Gaspergu, Gar, and Black bass. We weighed in 17 pounds and finished in 15th place. We had a big bass of 6.4.
27 pounds won and it took about 22 pounds to get in the money!
We placed second out of 60 boats. We weighed in 13.65, the wind was blowing so hard our trolling batteries were dead at 11:00. It was a tough day but people who hid from the wind were not catching them.
We found the fish suspending in 20-25 foot, threw deep diving crank baits to get them.
The very back? I havent been there in years, is there a lot of grass back there now? I hope the pads come back, in there. That used to be a great area for the frog bite.
Not to well, tried deep, top water, shallow, dynamite, nothing was working well. Saw a few on beds and caught a 3 shallow. A 4 won the weekly big bass tourney out of alpine this evening.
Gonna go out in the morning and try to find some fish for a tournament sunday. Hope to find some early morning top water action and then back off into 8-12 foot with a jig and c-rig.

Came up about a foot, still a lot of water heading down this way. We will be full pool by the weekend I am thinking.
Well this rain should go a long ways to getting Toledo to full pool.
