  1. Bad news I will not be there;I have to work that weekend on our new computer system we are putting in at work. But keep me on the list if a Washington County trip ever pops up. Sorry Just and water :'(
  2. cart7t Thanks for the information on the lics,. That will help us out big time. And I love the Beer drinking squirl.
  3. Boater here, with partner. Can you get Mo. fishing lics: online? My partner is the one that live up north in Il. Thank, Good Fishing
  4. Polish Fisher I have a Pelican Rhino 10'3". The trolling motor Is a 36 lbs Hand control, God for give you if a 7 to 14mph wind blow's. You we spend all of your time controling the boat and NOT fishing. GOOG LUCK
  5. henry6759 Input, input input, input, The size of your boat!. The make, flat bottom, v-bottom, fiberglass, or ??????? We can only till you the boat's we have, NOT YOUR. INPUT, INPUT, If you would like the inforamation you look for. Sorry I have to be so B-----s about it. GOOD LUCK.
  6. _tyler_wright_ 2 great minds think alike lol . You are the man And MA1232, DoubleBarS forgot some thing
  7. Add foam under the deck help with the stability? No. The foam is for keeping the boat from sinking. The more weight you add to the boat, lowers the boat water line, the weight puts presure on the side of the boat to stability it. But to much weight in the boat is not good, inch's away from the water line. bad bad bad You stand up and move about and your in the water.
  8. Hi Guy's I would love to fish the outing with you all. Iam not from Mo. but I work in Mo. (live in Il.). I have a boat with a 9.9 motor, and I will have to see if my fishing partner can join me If not I will have a extra seat on my boat? 8-) Dink I live 15 miles away from washington county Lake :. So please let me know of the date for the washington county. I would like to meet you all at the boat ramp ;D. The $10.00 dollar fee will set me back 2 pork chops and a pack of worms but thats o.k. I have a late April fishing trip evey year with some friends but this year work is taking over :-[, This would be my fishing trip Good Luck! To all
  9. The 55 lbs will take care of any of your needs. I have a 55 lbs foot control on my jon 1436, and love it. A foot control is a lot better than a hand control, Because you will spend a lot of your time controling the boat and not fishing ,if you fish on a windy day. The foot control give you hand free fishing all day. : I would look into getting a foot control one, if you are going to put it on a bigger boat later on. The low setting is to strong for the first half hour, and then it is just right. My boat is set up for 12/24 volts. Good luck
  10. Thanks for your input I hate to take the big motor off, But the way I see it is, $1,500.00 for the lower unit. And only fishing 3 Lakes, with water skiers and party boats. Or spend $1,500.00 on a 9.9 H.P. and fish 20 different Lakes And if it looks funny then so be it , Because I'm fishing! not going out for a beauty contest. Yes I wish Illinois would go for the No wake zone. But until they do, we will have to have the 9.9H.P.. Coming up with an adapter for the steering is nothing, I have all the tools to do about anything. Just like Way2Slow said I will just have to improvise. I will not take off the control box for the bigger engine in cast I sale the Boat later. You are right TMC7 that the wake of a small boat is worse than a big boat going four times the speed. Thanks for all your help Just add Water
  11. Here what I got. My big motor 150 Evinrude lower unit froze, and broke the casing :'(. My boat is a 1990 285 pro Stratos 18'6". I fish a lot of 10h.p. Lakes , and I can not run the big motor on then. So I am thinking of removing the big motor and replace it with a 9.9hp. : With the weight of the big motor off the boat (500+-). Will the 9.9h.p. push the boat OK? I'm not convinced a 9.9 will push my boat around a lake especially during moderate to high winds. I need some input from some boaters that have a kicker on ther boat. I already have a 14' Jon boat but it set to low in the water, and would like to use my bigger boat. Thanks for all your help
