  1. Pick your electronics. Add power poles, cover, setback, passenger console, front deck step, remote drain, upgrade to Utrex, retractable tie downs and trailer brakes.
  2. It's great if you like catching perch.
  3. A shaky head is essentially a weedless jig worm that far predates a poop (ned) rig.
  4. Lol, uh huh.
  5. Pre IPC Saint Croix Avid AC62MXF. Truly the best topwater rod I've ever used.
  6. Going for a pretty penny on the used market: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/fishing-the-upper-potomac-river/18105653/item/47741662/?gclid=CjwKCAjwu_mSBhAYEiwA5BBmf-QTZrEF4nOfLPxfeOhV31GFxleviayfjVkkbD0ojt622cA1JaUVaBoC2UoQAvD_BwE#idiq=47741662&edition=61085809
  7. Had a Genny Light tall boy.
  8. Sounds like the issue is your batteries. Have them tested.
  9. Megabass Popmax.
  10. 1. Why can't you reverse the slings? Not sure I understand the issue, but whomever installed the hoist should be able to make adjustments for your boat, if you can't yourself. 2. This keeps the boat dry, but a foot and a half difference seems extreme. Again, this can be adjusted. You also don't need it 5' out of the water, just out of the water. As far as hurting the boat, that's pretty much nonsense. As long as the slings are clean and debris free, you will be fine. We stored boats at our cottage on a hoist for over 20 years without issue. One of those boats was a fairly large and heavy open bow.
  11. That looked more like a well executed roll cast than a legit skip.
  12. Yes to buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. No to jigs and chatterbaits.
  13. Snow here tonight and tomorrow. Ugh.
  14. Woke to Easter Bunny and snow on the ground. Go home Mother Nature, you're psychotic.
  15. I remember the episodes where Larry was testing the homemade version. I was VERY MUCH looking forward to it coming out. It was not the huge improvement to tailprops that I though it would be. Top Raider still works fine for toothies.
  16. Never heard of it not being a third party and that applies to everything - cars, boats, houses, horses, lawnmowers, and shovels.
  17. You'll get way more boat @ATA Seriously, good luck in your search and ask any questions here. Everyone is ready to help. I have at least six pages of people offering feedback in my search.
  18. Jigs. I will say that whipper ploopers are pretty dumb and don't catch, so maybe that's another for me.
  19. I can bring an imperial pint (19.6 oz) to my mouth just fine. A sub-pound reel is fine too, on a balanced rod.
  20. I think you'd do fine with a 5 year old boat from a reputable dealer with a warranty. That would save you a ton of cash and get you in a boat that was less hassle. My last boat was a 20 yeas old hull and a rebuilt 15 year old motor: Bullet 21XDC with a Merc Racing 2.5 ProMax Short Shaft. That boat ran me $8500. I paid cash for it. It was an 85 mph, 22', dual console, glitter rocket.
