  1. I'm have around 40 SC rods. None have broken, some are more than 20 years old.
  2. Agreed, but I can see the other side. I worked at a large corporation that shall remain nameless (it starts and ends with an X, lol) and the sheer laziness through all levels from union workers to executives was appalling. I think the issue is more what environment each company fosters. That place was extremely broken.
  3. My wife is HR director for a international company that is in flow control - like for oil rigs and city water supply. These "unskilled" workers are paid very well, and there's at least a dozen people lined up behind any person that doesn't want to do the work, so for the most part these factory workers are working hard, and making a quality product known the world over for it's reliability.
  4. You'd have to try unionizing like the local Starbucks employees around here have in order to get on the news.
  5. You can get a Chinese one that's probably better, but costs less. The whole Mexican Fender thing is blown so far out of proportion, they're overpriced now. The fishing market is so far behind.
  6. So, skip on the Ferrari because it's made in the same place as a Fiat? Our engineers have better things to build than fishing reels, lol.
  7. Victory come in at less than $200 and are made in the Park Falls, WI.
  8. You're probably right. This was my result, times around 75 last time out. Oh yeah, I used a the tip heavy Victory rod with the grindy Shimano reel and stretchy fluoro. Also use the wide gap finesse hook, notorious for poor hook ups. Skewered my senkos like a savage, too. Cos I'm made of money.
  9. Yakima Rack and Roll is probably the best purpose built trailer for this. https://yakima.com/products/rackandroll-78-trailer
  10. I'd get a trailer for the PA.
  11. Not really. It's about the same level as without because it's fixed and up turned. I've used them with great success.
  12. They've only sold like 1500 of them. I've seen two in person. It a big fan of the front looks, but on paper it's super capable.
  13. I'm sure it's quality considering this is a $95k vehicle.
  14. I would be using it to tow a boat.
  15. Looking hard at the Rivian.
  16. You'll need to be able to lift half of it over your head.
  17. Pretty hard to take that slack out of the line without pulling the senko.
  18. Braid to mono or fluoro leader has zero sensitivity on a slack line, which is almost always the case with a senko.
  19. 2010 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab. I can fit 8' rods no problem in the passenger front seat with it slightly reclined. There's even room for someone to sit there if they don't mind the reduced footwell space.
  20. Might be time to upgrade to a graph w/ GPS?
  21. Well, you need to be able to see it because you won't really feel it on that setup like you would with straight fluorocarbon.
