  1. I forgot to answer the day to day memory part, lol. I have doorway amnesia. As soon as I enter I different room, I forget why I went there.
  2. Some catches, I remember the fish and the weight but have long forgotten the conditions, location, and sometimes even what I caught it on. Other catches, I have all the details. Amnesia when it comes to fishing familiar waters can be a good way to unlock spots you'd never think of.
  3. Not really specific. My cranking sticks aren't great for much else. I have a couple shorter XF jig/worm rods that seem like they should work for jerbaits, but they're terrible. The rest can cover several baits. Not so much because they're versatile, it's just that I've seldom come across a rod labeled as doing one thing that couldn't do a half dozen more.
  4. Bears. Beets. Fact. Bears eat beets. Battlestar Gallactica.
  5. If only there was footage on the internet of a Mustang making a right turn and crashing into a telephone pole, I'd post it here.
  6. Diago, make me a full size coffee. Thatll be $58. lmao
  7. That guy is somewhat local. Honeoye Falls is a quick drive from here.
  8. And I've been sticking a stake through my scupper holes for two decades when it could be this simple 😂
  9. I had a canoe until someone stole it. I went back to the 14' rowboat. Put an old motor on that eventually. Once I was 14 or so, I would take the Penn Yan woody out to the big lake from the bay for smallies. Next in my 20s was a 15' Sea Nymph tiller, shortly after moving up to a 17' tiller, which was my favorite all around platform. Once we sold the cottage and keeping the boat at the dock wasn't an option, I got into kayaks. That was almost 20 years ago. Still use them despite having been through a couple bass boats, and now a pontoon. My next boat will be a hybrid bay boat at 24-28', but will still use my kayaks as long as I can. I've often thought about a light pack canoe. My mother has one and it's fantastic. Weighs like 14 lbs.! I could see fishing from that.
  10. Most bearings come from the bearing manufacturer oiled. This is a case where they might have missed a batch or something and the reel assemblers either didn't notice or care. In a post Covid world where you can't get your Big Mac made correctly, I'm not totally surprised
  11. It's not as acidic as other dark roasts would be my guess.
  12. Pete's Major Dickenson Starbucks Komodo Dragon Cafe Bustella Finger Lakes Italian or African Black, no toys. If I want to slug it fast, I may put a small ice cube in it. I prefer a French Press as well, but for a busy morning, my Bunn maker brews a full pot in less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend them at less than $250. I've been eyeballing a Technivorm Moccamaster for some time. If anyone really wants to put Tom Selleck level hair on their chest, look into brewing the Turkish way.
  13. What have I lost over the side? Yes.
  14. Since oiling the spool bearings is something I'd consider normal maintenance, I wouldn't go through the trouble of returning it. Pretty good instructions given above. I'd do that about every quarter I was using the reel, and before I put it up for the winter.
  15. "Lunkergate" LOLOLOL. I though he was sponsored by 6th sense? They must love this ratchet stuff.
  16. You should add a wagon to the list.
  17. I like a bright color back that I can easily see from a distance. The truly big bites are usually quiet slurps - don't see your frog, set the hook.
  18. It's hard to speak Latin from a quarter horse.
  19. @TnRiver46 Not sure there's a license for sucking, other than a drivers' license.
  20. I'll ask again, why did it take ten months to press charges and book the dude? "These things take time" is not an acceptable answer and I don't expect anyone here to answer that. Time will tell, but for now something smells.
  21. Because the crime happened many months ago. Did you assume he just turned in the fish and the paperwork this week? It seems like this thing was sat on or dig up, maybe for publicity, maybe even by his own camp. I'm not trying to argue with you. I said it in the first reply to this, something seems fishy, and it ain't the bass he caught. None of it is how these deals go. He's not that big a deal.
