  1. You can use Vienna Sausages if you want to go finesse.
  2. Not sure I could break it down, but can say that it's definitely evolved over the past ten years. For instance, save for a pitch or flip cast, I ALWAYS use both hands.
  3. I don't fish the two baits the same way or in the same places. so to me it's more complicated. I can't really draw a comparison, but I almost always throw a spinnerbait before I pick up a chatter bait.
  4. The answer is always 42.
  5. Yep, they fight like smallmouth.
  6. The general idea is to slice off right triangle and determine the dimensions of those. Then determine the dimensions of the rectangle left behind. Those areas are easy to figure. Then just add them up.
  7. @Tim Kelly should have a pic or ten of huge perch.
  8. Sounds like a knot problem to me too. I don't care what knot you use - they all work with fluoro, even a clinch - so long as it's a well tied knot. Try a few and test them before going out. Find "your knot" and practice tying it.
  9. If I could offer any advice about how to approach tournament fishing, it would be to try and find a team format and above all, have fun. Fish the way you fish. If you want to maximize baits in the water, do that. If you love topwaters and do well with them, do that. If you can stomach drowning senkos when the bite seems slow, do that. Be you on the water. When I figured that out, I did a lot better.
  10. Well, that was from 10 years ago.
  11. They weren't the only ones with those style seats. It was definitely a thing back when.
  12. Terry made a great boat.
  13. We're done here.
  14. Let that be your final comment in the political realm. We do not permit political and religious discussion here - this is not the place.
  15. I didn't do well until I got my own boat, and had control of where and how I fished.
  16. I follow the hoopty guy and saw this a day or so ago. Not surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.
  17. Not sure what the issue is. I have my opinion.
  18. RIP
  19. Oh. My. God. Glad you're okay, holy hell that had to be scary.
  20. I couldn't say. I start fast and high in the water column and work toward low and slow until I get bit. I'd say it's when I follow the adjustments is when I get more bites, not one or the other.
  21. I don't use a spinning reel for any moving baits, so the faster the better. My current reels take up around 35" per turn. I'd go to 40+ for a 2500 size reel if possible.
  22. 5-12 on a drop shot Cross Tail Shad. Lake Erie.
