  1. Be specific. What marina? I've fished any without buoy lines on Cayuga without issue. I'm assuming someone squawked on the north end.
  2. killer technique
  3. What resource? The DEC has never respected the bass and panfish fishery. All they care about are their precious salmonoids. God forbid you have a party of five with more than one fish on a rope. Literally have had guys with guns drawn over it. It's mental. Trout are put and take. It's why our licenses are so expensive.
  4. Way before that, around 2010. I think they were Heliums.
  5. I always eat my peanut butter.
  6. I like getting out. Best five over 15 is decent. I've had a day where I caught just two but they were both over 6 each and I was only there for a few hours, so that was a good day. I've had 100+ smallie days, though none over 4. That's a good time.
  7. Hmm, never really didn't like any that I bought. What I really disliked was every single Kistler eventually snapping on fish. It took a couple years but I managed to snap all five of them. They were very light and crisp rods and a joy to fish before they broke.
  8. The Bronco Sport is the little guy with either a 1.5 or 2.0. Not the same as a Bronco. The 2.0 is a proven engine.
  9. Any 50-65 lb. 4+ carrier braid I've ever tried was pretty much bullet proof in all but the heaviest cover, so long as there aren't zebra mussels.
  10. 75% of the population don't spawn. Perhaps your catches were those fish that basically carried on in an active feeding mode.
  11. Most of my gas grills were second hand and rebuilt by my oldest son. I've been rocking a basic Weber kettle charcoal grill for about 10 years now tho. I replaced the grate this spring and put a rubber foot for a crutch on the leg. Darn thing will last another decade I figure.
  12. Four score and five years ago...ploopers still don't work well for me. Doesn't explain the hundreds of fish I've caught on other big swim baits, but oh well. Win some, lose some.
  13. It only takes two crows to attempt a murder.
  14. Sounds like the knot is holding and the line is failing.
  15. Good for him. He has no bearing on yours or my fishing. If you glean a tip from him that works, then good for you. There's gonna be a time when you need a 10:1 reel. I generally stick Daiwa 6.2:1 for it. I won a tournament using spinnerbaits with an old Abu 3.7:1 reel, slow rolling in 20 FOW. There is no answer to this. Just find what works in that moment.
  16. I have raised four boys, diapers don't scare me. Public toilets do though.
  17. That's the point. They'll all get bit anyway if you present them correctly at the right depth in the right spot at the right time.
  18. I have a small piece of 1" hardwood dowel with a 1/4" piece of dowel inserted perpendicular through it. A couple of wraps and a figure-8 around the small dowel and yank.
  19. It means fish a goby. We have Ayu here, but it's a killer pattern.
  20. Pretty sure that's in vogue right now, lol.
  21. I don't think I've ever heard so much debate over a spinnerbait reel! I have several combos that can throw them, so I just pick one that has a ratio that is comfortable for me to retrieve at the speed I want (or the fish, actually want). It ain't that complicated.
  22. They should include a pair of white cotton gloves with those reels!
