  1. @jaimeastin You saw a Hobie Pro Angler, top of the line boat from them. I have a Hobie Compass Mirage Drive and love it. https://www.hobie.com/kayaks/mirage-pro-angler-14-360/
  2. Go to the DMV website and see what forms you need to fill out and get it registered. I’d get a transom mounted TM first. Then a decent fish finder with GPS and map chip. Scout google maps for waters and access points. Have fun.
  3. NRS Pilot Junior is what I carry. Way less bulky.
  4. No. It was a prank by a friend that was a tattoo artist.
  5. Probably. My point is that he'll figure out how to make them work, while putting money in the bank, rather than spend $400 on a high end rod. I think in some cases, the highest bidder gets the sponsorship deal. In other cases, they are already using the gear, and it was a natural fit. I couldn't say about that specific case. In our case, it's a mix. I probably wouldn't have tried the KastKing gear on my own. I like the reels pretty well, and they perform great at great price. I already love and use Siebert, Ragetail, Seaguar, Plano, Yum, etc, so they're a natural fit. AT any rate, these hyper exotic rods in those price points aren't really for professionals. They're for gear enthusiasts with the means to afford them. I think that's cool, too. I in fact just bought a JDM Zillion that 40+ IPT for a premium. I didn't need it, but I had to have it. It cost me. Now, if I could just convince someone to pay me to fish it!
  6. Fishing with KastKing is his livelihood. He gets paid for it.
  7. They haven't been bleeped out in months.
  8. Out of BassResource members, I'd say @Tim Kelly or @Bluebasser86 qualify as some of the best. I bet their list of spp. is pretty long.
  9. I wouldn't get too discouraged, Conesus has handed me my own butt more than once.
  10. If the image was captured in March, in Delaware, it's unlikely there any weeds.
  11. I could never settle on a design. I have one now, but I have to settle with the right artist. I do actually have one, tiny tattoo, but it's just a dot. That's all I could commit too, lol. 12. That wasn’t even the biggest one. I caught a 19”, but there’s a story about that one. Let’s just say I won’t be endorsing BPS brand fish grips any time soon.
  13. I don’t typically use o-rings. They’re an inconvenience. I’m okay with using up baits.
  14. I'd get the bigger boat, irrespective of weight. I prefer a 12-14' boat for fishing. Everything smaller doesn't have the room I need and feels cramped.
  15. It could be both the weed line and a drop off. Do you recall how relatively deep it is toward the center? Like, how many seconds it takes for the bait to hit the bottom? At any rate, it doesn't appear to be a huge pond, and you should be able to find the fish in no time.
  16. I don't know why this would matter either. On a weightless, weedless rigged bait, the hook is parallel to the bait, and hook up is no issue. I do like the hook perpendicular, as @ResoKP shows because I find it to be a little more weedless in light weed cover. The worm actually works to push weeds out of the way.
  17. It doesn't matter. You can't control what direction it will end up once cast into the water.
  18. On Conesus, hit the docks if it's sunny. Look for docks over or near deep water. If that's not working, the outside weed edge, 12-16 FOW, with jigs usually works. Place is a big bass factory.
  19. For $124 more, you can get a Hobie Compass.
  20. Split shot rigs were called "fishing on the bottom." A drop shot rig was called "fishing off the bottom." A "Carolina rig" was just a catfish rig with a brass weight and a bead. Call me cynical, but we didn't need the Japanese to invent rigs, though they are far better at coming up with clever names and marketing them.
  21. What’s up with all the non working prototypes? I mean the excuses coming out these guys’ mouths is astounding. Just saw another video pimping “when it’s in production it’ll work right” feature.
  22. They didn't bring a finished model? I'd like to see the pedal drive, and just what is this "jet" drive?
  23. I see why you'd prefer to fish at night, after things have cooled down.
  24. Looks like Luther has a new camera pole coming out.
