  1. You could look at this a different way: all the stress is on one knot, and a short bit of line, as opposed to two knots, and more line carrying the burden. I'm not sure which is correct, though.
  2. I've never seen an armed PETA crowd.
  3. Maybe someone can comment, but I've never used pop rivets for anything structural, like a deck. Is the angle and flat bar iron?
  4. Hook also means to steal or pilfer, lol.
  5. Doesn't sound like a repair to the hull, but building a deck. Part of the mandrel remains on any pop rivets I've used.
  6. I have 2x AVS63MLXF and 2x AVS63MXF that cover most of my DS needs. I prefer a shorter rod for vertical DS, but the 6-9 version works as well. Mine are all paired with Stradic CI4 reels spooled up with 6# Tatsu.
  7. Always go back to Three Quartets. Brecker, Gomez, Gadd, and Chick. You can find videos of their reunion in 2003 for Chick's birthday on YouTube, performed at the Blue Note before Brecker passed away. There's a spot in Quartet No.1 where Brecker loses the note, and laughs. Gadd fires him up from behnd the drums, and he proceeds to tear it up on the sax. It's awesome.
  8. Pinnacle had hand tuned reels five years ago. I have a couple. Depending on the strength of the dollar to the yen, there can be some lag in pricing where JDM versions can be had for a little less than the USDM. Seems like it is cyclical.
  9. Rush will always be in my playlist. the listening to lately list is really my current list of favorites. Looking at recent downloads tells the story: Pearl Jam Ahmad Jamal Son Lux Steve Gadd Radiohead Chick Corea Missio Donald Byrd 10,000 Maniacs Jawbreaker most recently played: Gregory Porter Jawbox Rush Coltrane
  10. Good luck in there, and a speedy recovery.
  11. I’m totally saying “crah-PAY” from now on. Sounds very dignified.
  12. Thought I lost it, but found it while organizing for spring. That bait and my Popmax are all I really need! Speaking of catch and release, this is a concept most non anglers are baffled by. I mean, when you sink a put, do you take the cup with you?
  13. Some fish with lers.
  14. My boat has a console. I've seen others that claim theirs has a council.
  15. Up here if they don't say strawberry bass, they say croppy. Worst ever.
  16. Bream/brim Mustad - pronounced mus-TODD Using in' instead of ing at the end, like: fishin', flippin', pitchin', jiggin', etc. When people replace snag for hook, especiall in newspaper articles, like "He snagged the record bass fishin' with a pole and rubber worm" While we're at it, why is an anchor attached to a rope, and you tie the bow and stern off with lines? Or is it the other way around? Aren't they the same thing? Starbird/starboard - one is the side of a boat, the other from space Peddle, paddle, petal, pedal versions of kayaks Their all crazy things!
  17. Just get the hook in the keeper with a tiny bit of slack. Hold the line, and spin the rod a couple times, and loop on the first guide. Problem solved.
  18. Grab the cats from behind the barbed fins.
  19. Twist your line ?
  20. They should've used an umlaut. Would have been more metal \m/
