Another story, I went to sell one of my boats, so I cleaned it out for the tranfer, and while emptying the rod locker, I found a real nice OG JDM Zillion. I faintly recall buying it, but never used it. Still have it somewhere.

This Zillion is 9:1. Something like 41 IPT. It was too fast for my use.

I can confirm that it gets a little frizzy. If it looks really bad near the bait, I'll retie.

I recently went through the entire house - attic, garage, basement, junk drawers, closets, etc. - and consolidated all my tackle. I found three huge plastic bins worth of unopened baits - mostly baits I usually use, which isn't many. Tons of Senkos, lol. Apparently smoke/purple flake is my favorite color, because that's what I found squirreled away in every corner of the house!

Essential crossing only. I'd say DD bass are essential.

I'd delete the jerkbait, and sub a spinnerbait, but it's a yes to all of those, most places I fish.

There aren't any shortcomings using fluoro, only gains that using a better line bring. Fluoro won't drag a buzzbait under. If it does, the bait is flawed. As far as being expensive, it outlasts mono by years, and if I can throw a buzzbait on the same rig I throw a spinnerbait, then I save on the rod and reel.

You only need to say the word "president" and it will become political, whether you like it or not. So, don't.

Those are cool. I have a few TD-X and a TD-Z versions, and still use them. Being able to flip that switch with your palming hand without turning the handle is an advantage for righty casters.

I use 15#Invisx without any issue. I only throw Cavitrons.

Look at diameters of different 10# line compared to Tatsu. Also, experience has shown me that 10# doesn’t cut it for me with x deep cranking. When I crank deep, I’m not just hauling water.

I never climbed under the chain link fence before it was a public park, lol. There's fish in there. It's really shallow. They dug out new sections less than a decade ago, so maybe it's had time. Ponds are like aces up your sleeve. Good to have a few when you go out on a shore hop.

Spencerport wide waters (basically a dredge dumping area) is excellent mid summer, IF YOU CAN GET OFF SHORE. I occasionally get out there with my kayak. Smallies are plentiful if you work the rock piles with lipless baits. you can find walleye in the deeper, main channel of the canal. Prespawn, and spawn, you can walk Lyell with a rod and reel, and a bag of senkos, and clean house on both green and brown bass. These are from Spencerport:
