  1. Lucky is one way to put it, lol.
  2. Space age - that's 50s marketing, lol.
  3. They did it 30 years ago and it wasn't heavy. No one cared.
  4. The one I worked on was far less than 12 oz.
  5. I recommend getting into some beginner videos that focus on the workshop tools. Building jigs, sleds, fences, and other tooling was was really eye opening for me.
  6. The table should have a channel or at least some holes to screw in a fence. Mine is just made from scraps and a pricey strip of maple to sit in the channel. However you make the tooling, the concept is the same. I'd also be questioning the clamping on the glue job. Wood glue shouldn't be so thick that it causes bit chatter.
  7. Drill press, fence and clamps. This is simple stuff. Get some books and watch some videos.
  8. I have my old bolt on hand grinder. Works great for rustic smash burgers.
  9. I'll send you my Venmo.
  10. I had the same feeling.
  11. I'll do standard glass coverage for that.
  12. I'm rubber and you're glue. What ever you say bounces off me and sticks to you!
  13. I have worked on those old Shimano two speeds. Complete PITA.
  14. Been through two. Two more to go.
  15. One other point, despite owning two very fast boats, I wasn't dinged for that. All the agent cared about was how much liability I needed and what it would cost to replace it. Nothing was said about its top speed. That might different elsewhere in the country.
  16. Try insuring a car for a teenage boy. Then come talk to me about high rates. Boat insurance is such a tiny line item in the total cost of ownership. It's barely a consideration for me. A-Jay brings up an interesting point about replacement. All my boats have been over a decade old, so I've paid for agreed value. When it comes time to buy, I may need to chat about it.
  17. I carried a million dollar liability and agreed price on my Bullet and that wasn't more than $400. When you bundle multiple vehicles, homeowners, riders for valuables, it's actually not that bad.
  18. It's the Ark of the Cove.
  19. The boats I have been looking at come in just under $200k. I'd go a little bigger but then I'd have to consider the tow vehicle not being a daily driver. While there was the insane covid spike in prices, the market has softened a bit.
  20. Sorry, yess, most of Region 6, which includes the St. Larry.
  21. The best I've done on the south shore of Lake Ontario is a hair over 21. I know one day on Eries we had to be over 25 with two fish over 6 and one close to it. That was a magical late November day, though my boater said it was slow fishing, lol.
  22. I was starting to get the shakes.
  23. Region 5 has been the main holdout on off season C&R since it started.
