  1. Trackers aren't known for performance. Turn the key, stab 'em and steer. I wouldn't do anything to try and customize the setup, beyond maybe trying a prop that was +1, but it's doubtful you'd improve things. These boats are setup to go as is from the factory. Your focus should be gear arrangement and weight distribution with a fully loaded boat.
  2. Couldn't care less what tools people prefer to use for the internet, just that they work. The Windows/iOS debate is just dumb. I make a living using both. You aren't going too far with a PNG in the regular forum pages. Upload a JPEG.
  3. I'm WAY more up to date than that. Here's what it doesn't work with: iOS 14.4.2 Safari FireFox for iOS Chrome for iOS Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Edge Chrome FireFox Opera I suggest linking to a JPEG using a 3rd party image hosting site.
  4. Try a JPEG instead of a PNG.
  5. I wouldn't get to concerned with labelling "numbers baits" or "big fish" baits. Read and think more about location and behavior of bigger bass. Some of my biggest fish have come on what many call "dink baits."
  6. They are Satan's minions.
  7. Woodchucks are second only to chipmunks on my list of hated vermin.
  8. That's pretty. I bet it moves with the 300XS on it. With a 29 plugged and cupped 3-blade I got up to 84.7 mph in my old 21XDC. I prefered the 26 4-blade Trophy for quick planing. That prop got me into the 70s no problem. Named it "The Millenium Falcon"
  9. Good info! I'm fairly certain there was a flaw in the coating, and the hard, alkaline Lake Ontario (pH can be over 8.0, dKH over 10) water got to it.
  10. @Ski I want to see pics of that Bullet.
  11. I'd be careful of low priced reels with this finish. I've seen a few from "well known" brands corrode. This reel wasn't exposed to any chemicals or physical damage. It ended up being replaced by the manufacturer.
  12. Got it, a kayak suits my needs for the same reasons - by myself. You can probably mount whatever transducer you have to a deployment arm. I much prefer this method to through hull or through scupper set ups. Here's a Helix 5 on a Hobie Compass:
  13. Thanks. Spinning isn't my favorite for it either, but that's where I go when have to drop to something Pointer 78 size. Anything heavier, and I use an AC62MXF pre IPC Avid.
  14. I've encountered this both down south and up here. Believe it or not, there can be quite a bit of current in the Great Lakes (Erie especially near Buffalo) from wind and just the natural water flow from west to east. That roiling wind against the current is pretty nasty sometimes. I've seen it in salt where the wind is fight a tide. It's pretty nuts. Like anything else, you pick your days. This would be a pond/shore fishing day:
  15. Site says online sales to Canada are prohibited.
  16. I have this rod, and use it for: Drop Shot Wacky Rigs Flukes Jigs and plastics <= 1/4 oz. Small treble hook topwaters Inline spinners Small spoons
  17. Back to the original question, Cickamauga is mostly less than a mile wide, though several miles long. I would not call it "big water" and as such, you can probably get by with a smaller deep-v that is 16-18' long. I ran 15' and 17' deep-v tillers for years on Lake Ontario. These boats handle other boat wakes and rough water better than any big bass boat I've been in. The only issue is the higher freeboard means they catch wind, so make sure you spec out a trolling motor with plenty of thrust. 70 lbs./24v minimum. Speaking of boat wakes, it's not the bass boat wakes you should worry about, it's pleasure boaters and wake boats. On busy days, you have to keep your head on a swivel. Life jackets...just wear them. I actually feel like they're more important when you're fishing or moving around the craft when not running. Seems I end up tripping on something several times an outing.
  18. I love the lines on these boats. The design just screams, "I GO FAAAAAASSSSSST!!!"
  19. 30 years ago, it was $5 at the door to see a band in a bar. Today, it's $5 to see a band in a bar. NOt many things you can say that about.
  20. Fans: "We love your music!" Also fans: "We don't want you to make money!"
  21. I don't hate them, and I certainly understand the influence both had, but I really don't get the Stones. I try, really hard to like it, but it's just too boring to me.
  22. You already have the jon with the trolling motor. I would seriously ask yourself what are the reasons for going to kayak, and then attaching the motor? I can't see wanting any complicated propulsion for a lake under 300 acres. What are you gaining by going to a kayak? Otherwise, out of all those listed, I can only see myself liking the Vibe or the Bonafide.
  23. Get well and feel better soon!
  24. The easiest places to contact for details would be the state DNR and/or Corps of Engineers if it's one of their lakes.
