  1. I can't find my camo rod.
  2. You can discuss them all you want. All it does is add relevance that they need to market to places like DSG. How does it feel to be played?
  3. It's got that erratic action that big bass can't resist. What does that even mean?
  4. Neither black bass are as fast as a king salmon or a steelhead.
  5. I'm not sure the relevance to my statement, but yes I agree they aren't in the business of marketing to hardcore anglers. From what I can tell, they are a clothing/image store for suburbanites.
  6. Pretty sure that space came at a premium and there is probably a buyback part of that deal. I don't think DSG is as dumb as some of you think they are.
  7. Safe travels my friend!
  8. I can make a trap from toothpicks and the stem off a maraschino cherry in about 15 mins.
  9. Where's your boat staying? Find an outlet near there.
  10. No way. It should be in a best of list.
  11. Plenty of tips in here:
  12. Once or twice I've literally just chucked my rod into the lake by accident. It looked more Billy Madison than Thor, though.
  13. I misread that at first glance.
  14. I think it's more useful than just advertising. If I already have a fast action rod, I have a pretty decent idea of what an extra fast in the same line up will be like without even trying it. This is where there's value with sticking with a brand or even a line within that brand you like. I mean, it's better than than ratings like rugged, elegant, smooth, stiff, etc. At least using relative speed gets you in the ball park. But yes, I agree - one company's fast may be another's mod-fast.
  15. I catch plenty of other spp. as well, but the three pictured are a joyful surprise.
  16. Gorilla Tape. I'm only half kidding - it works well in a pinch. There's a bevy of videos out there detailing repairs on a rotomolded kayak that can be found using a simple search.
  17. Northern pike, brown trout, steelhead...
  18. For the heavy vs. medium-heavy power part, it depends on what your casting and how much it weighs. Most often, taper affects how the rod feels during retrieve and setting the hook. There isn't really such a thing as one casting better than the other. Each are suited to certain things. What are you trying to cast and in what type of cover?
  19. Between my big toe and second toe, but only when I'm casting left handed.
  20. It's exactly for line control and is just more comfortable to me.
  21. A 200 size reel would be fine with 20# line, which is what I'd use for those baits listed.
  22. Calcutta 200b is what I've used for years. I modded mine a tiny bit with a Curado E series handle and knobs and Carbontex drag.
  23. Get Gamo Red Fire pellets.
