  1. I found a size 12 clown husky jerk once, with almost all the finish beat off of it. caught two smallmouth on it on my fist two casts! I have fished it a lot, and caught a lot of bass on it since!! nothing better than found lures! Jim
  2. i usually keep about a dozen bass a year, maybe a few less. i would rather eat striper or walleye personally. I fished a small pond for years. there was an older gentleman that would take a five gallon buket of blugill and crappie a week out of this pond. after he passed away, everything in the pond became stunted. even the bass. so your doing lake's a favor by selective harvesting some fish! jim
  3. wrap the hooks with soilder, or wire. I have a deep redfin that i wrapped the hooks and still had to drill the bait and add some lead (i use number five bbs from a shotgun shell). made it a heck of a bait, but it took about an hour and a half to get it right (suspending). Tight lines-Jim
  4. hey addict, do you mean cypher? i have heard it call cypher beach too. i never heard of cyprus i was just wondering! does anyone fish below raystown dam in huntingdon? i have been hitting the spillway off and on for eyes, still too cold for smallies! (at least for me!) jim
  5. white suckers around here in pa start running in mid march, and run till april.
  6. i wonder how different they look 15 feet underwater??? jim
  7. you might want to stay away from any current areas too. try to fish the slowest water you can find. a big hole might hold quite a few fish. if the water is in the 50's i would start with a jerk bait or senko. good luck-jim
  8. mostly from saxton to riddlesburg. I am going try making it out towards hopewell, and everett a little more this year! jim
