  1. If it helps the debate any.... We will be buying his lunch and paying him the going rate for a day on that lake which is between 375 and 400.
  2. Going on a guided trip this week on Lake Fork in Texas. Is it customary to tip your guide?
  3. Michael Vick signs 2 year deal with Philadelphia Eagles
  4. A-Rod is right... How many guys are you gonna see begging for an HBP (like he did Saturday, on a pitch that clearly never hit him) in a tight game with a runner in scoring position. He's such a baby-He should have wanted to be in the box! He doesn't want to be in clutch situations, he wants someone else to handle it.
  5. I'm always the operator, and I never drink on the boat. Don't know if I would if I was the back of the boat guy either. I'm also not going to jump on a high horse and tell you how bad you are for having a beer, as long as you aren't the driver. My buddy got a bit tipsy on the boat on his birthday this year, and I'll tell you, that was one of the most fun days we've had fishing. There is absolutely nothing better than cold beer on a 135 degree day!
  6. Keep in mind a couple of things- 1. Shipping on a 7foot box is high 2. Find the cheapest new retail price you can find on the net, and then base your percentage off of that. People have a tendency to get snippy if they find it ANYWHERE cheaper online. -For very lightly used rods, I would be willing to pay 65-70% of the cheapest retail price, plus an extra 15-20 for shipping
  7. I quit dipping 7 years ago, and my buddy is wanting to quit now, has anyone tried this stuff or any other alternative? What were your thoughts?
  8. A lot of comedies are like that these days-where you have to watch them 4 or 5 times before they become really funny (especially new Will Ferrell stuff)...that kinda gets old. I don't have time for that anymore. I laughed at the hangover from the second i walked in until 2 days after it was over--thats the kind of comedy i need!
  9. x2 on the gear ratio... Another couple of options for a rod might be the all star classics, or the american rodsmiths apex titanium, both 50 bucks at academy. I know the all star is decent, I'm picking up one of the american rodsmith's rods next week.
  10. Also at work----I'll jump on for about 15-20 minutes at a time a couple times throughout the day....I consider them my "smoke breaks"
  11. Welcome from East Alabama!

  14. Welcome to the forum!!!
  15. Welcome!!! Where the heck is there to fish around there???? We've got several family members in Daleville, Newton, and Dothan, and I've always wondered where I might be able to sneak off to while visiting!
  16. Thats kinda what i thought...my total cost with shipping and everything was like 66 bucks. Plus now I'll have a decent backup rod.
  17. I never realized that George Straight was in on it! It makes perfect sense.
  18. Cabela's website has a quantum code combo on sale right now for 49.99. The rod is some cabela's IM7 house rod, but that's like getting the reel for $40 off and getting a free rod. Check it out. Just bought one that should be here mid next week!
  19. Here in Alabama, its been a surprisingly mild summer. Usually we are 100 or right around it throughout the summer, but this year really hasn't been that bad. Can't believe only 14% of you guys up there have A/C!!!
  20. That sucks dude. Sorry about your car.
  21. Don't give up on fishing deep cover. You gotta learn it!!! I've devoted several trips to just fishing deep water to try and get better, and sometimes it seems like its just not going to happen, but I know thats where the fish are!!!! Mix up what you are throwing at that cover, and keep trying until it clicks.
  22. x2. best money you'll ever spend. Extends the life and will prob make it feel brand new again.
  23. 3 40K+ boats....Bravo Sierra.
  24. My buddy has a 2008 champion 198cx w/ a 225 Opti. His price was around 35K, his payments are around 350 for a looooooooooong time.
