  1. I went to Chokoloskee, FL last week to go snook fishing. I caught 6 in 2 days of fishing. Smallest 14lbs, biggest 18lbs. I went wade fishing with a guide. We had a blast. He's going to burn the pictures on a cd and send them to me, when he does I'll post them.
  2. I recently bought a 17' Monark fiberglass bass boat and the carpet needs to be replaced. I just about have all the old carpet pulled out. Now I'm debating whether I want to put carpet or a rubberized coating on the floor. I was thinking about using the Tuff Coat coating that BPS sales. Anyone have any thoughts on helping me choose? Thanks.
  3. You mean there not everywhere? There are as many Jack in the Cracks around here as there are Macdonalds. I'll go get me some free tacos tomorrow:)
  4. I usually get skunked when bass fishing at my home lake. Sometimes I go fishing with my neighbor at his 30 acre pond where I catch at least 6 or 7.
  5. I don't mean to but in but I think this question fits in here. So if you've got a wide angle transducer is the depth reading still from directly under the boat? Seems to me that a wide angle would be good for displaying fish but not so much for depth or structure. In deep water how would you ever find a hump if it could be anywhere in the wide angle's view? Thanks in advance.
  6. Live shad works good around here.
  7. ANY boat with ANY type of motor in Texas needs to be registered.
  8. Man you need a faster car:)
  9. Alright! Good job.
  10. You got a good deal, I don't care what anyone says. Sure there will be better deals, but I'll bet that $250 is less than most other comparable boats in your area. X2 on the get a trailer. I just got rid of my 12 footer that I didn't have a trailer for. Just getting it in and out of the bed of my truck was hard enough, I can't imagine putting it up on the roof.
  11. My advice to you is to look at as many jon boat mod posts as you can. Your questions are covered very frequently in posts in this section. I did a 12 footer a while back and something I learned, keep it simple. Don't go overboard and add a bunch of unnecessary weight. Especially if you don't have a trailer, like me:). And welcome to the forum.
  12. Worked for me. I counted 3! Yeah, those "ofs' came out of nowhere.
  13. Glad to see you're okay. Could have been real ugly.
