  1. http://www.rockyou.com register and create a slide show its easy
  2. Thats about an hour away from here... Here comes more BS weather
  3. Dry through the summer one year and that was a year where all lakes that I know went down 5-10 ft I have never seen this area dry
  4. What is your definition of a swamp? I do not think its a swamp and the water is pretty clean especially with the carp that swim through the area.
  5. lol I am fishing two lakes about 3 times a week if not more here in CT catching nothing for the most part!!!! I would suggest fishing it in other parts of the season especially autumn... When someone says I fished the hell out of a place I think of what I do which is: Fishing it often Fishing it for many hours a day Trying all types of lures and baits and Fishing every area possible If there is no other near by place to fish near by or If this place looks like it holds big fish I would suggest trying harder and use my definition of fished the hell out of a place and then report back How big is the lake How much did the bass weigh or how long was it If you care to share what is the name of the lake What other lures do you own
  6. I am a little late but, You could always fish the other lake more often Do you eat bass if so start taking some home You as an angler could only do some much physically to the lake though if you contact you local game and fish authority they might be able to help "fix" the issue... If they do not want to help get a petition going... I would like to add, some lakes are stocked that way on purpose and people do not complain because, "its a great place to bring the family and have fun catching fish."
  7. Similar deal here Not sure the depth of the water I would say no deeper then 5ft might be deeper but, I doubt it... Fishing two small ponds I had caught one LMB in a specific bass Then a day or two later my buddy caught two out of the same spot We couldn't catch or get a hit from any thing an where else on the pond Today I caught three in a similar area in another pond and my buddy had caught two a week back in the same spot... Nothing was caught any where else in this pond either
  8. Bass like senkos which do not really resemble either... Try a yo-zuri or rapala jerkbait/jointed fish... Try to match the color with the color of the perch or sunfish I believe the designs on the lure doesn't play a role as much in muddy water as it does in clear water.
  9. Is there anyway I would be able to tell if I have a sweet spot right under my nose? *It could be a semi sweet spot or an annually sweet spot semi - certain time of the year annually - all year round (except for winter in the NE) 1st try live bait whether you catch fish or not Try what ever lures/plastics you have Even if you do not catch any thing in the next 2 months keep trying because, especially now the water will be cold and "bassin" is slow I was told that if ducks live on it then bass are sure to be in it. True or False? For the past 2 out of 4 years that I lived here, ducks and snapping turtles have been living in it. I believe that is false Same thing goes for the snapping turtle idea I have a local lake where I have only seen and caught sunnies and catfish for years now. Plenty of geese ducks and turtle there as well
  10. Can't fish it if you don't know where it is Can't really fish much of it from shore Can only fish it from a flat bottom 12ft (or smaller) boat canoe or kayak Oh yeah I have never made it to the ponds, not sure if you are allowed to fish them. Though I believe one if not both are surrounded by cat tails
  11. There is a reservoir in town that I fish and gah it can be frustrating to see monster bass swim by and ignore every thing you throw at it... This happens every spring around spawn time before and sometimes during... I fish from shore and especially from this one area a few monster bass some of the biggest I have ever seen tease me as they slowly swim by and hang out around the bank staying in the shad of the thin layer of top water weed. **** Awesome story, maybe you will catch one or at least one close to the size of bass you had seen.
  12. I am going to find out if I could fish those ponds before attempting to borrow my friends canoe... If those I ask give me permission or don't even know where I am talking about, then I am hitting the area hard!
  13. Hey, what is the difference between that yo-zuri and say, and original floating rapala? *More durable *More action when twitched Does it run deeper? You said that is sinks slowly, but I just googled it and it said that it's a floater....which lead me to believe it's basically a rapala from a different company (correct me if I'm wrong). *Oddly enough mine sink though I do not fund the colors I have in the sinking version.... Also, how did you fish the yo-zuri? Hard jerks, crank, pause, repeat in an irregular pattern like you (I) would with a rapala? *I was working it many ways, though when I caught the very small LMB I was reeling average - fast speeds it in and would twitch it randomly How about the senko? *I had casted it out and let it sit for a bit as I was slowly softly twitching it in, is when I got the hit *Try using a senko at Nippenicket I've read that surface stuff is no good in early spring? *That depends on the water temperature which so far this year is cold which is no good for top water *I would try a buzzbait before any other top water *Jerkbaits are great for Pickeral, if you are not catching Bass on them though try a spinnerbait *** The more questions the better, thats how we all learn I caught those bass no more then 15ft from shore
  14. No the casting a good distance isn't good unless you are using light limp line...
  15. The senko was in great condition I caught one off of it !!!MY LAST FISH!!! Yo-Zuri pin minnow sinks very slow COLOR - Gold Flame SIZE 2 3/4" RATTLE - Yes
  16. This is on the opposite side of Lake K... Water from Lake K flows through this area If you look close you can see a swan in the distance, there is a pond there and water lead from that pond to another parallel to the on the swan is in. You would need a jon boat or a kayak to get through here.
  17. No need to use a hook set on these "big ins" lol After catching those three I of course threw out another cast and for some odd reason my senko went flying off the hook. After that I didn't get a single bite By the way that is a green and white senko
  18. 3 lmb caught in a small area of a pond
  19. good thinking izzle
  20. There are loads of baits used in Japan that has never been used here, though unless you find a website (as some were listed) that will ship to the US then we all will just need to wai until another angler brings it here.
