  1. Would any one be interested in a 2 man TEAM 8 fish limit tin can tourney in western CT?
  2. I believe water clarity temperature time of year (season) and the place you are fishing are all factors of what color you choose SOMETIMES Though there are colors that all year round out perform other colors Last year early in the year on one lake and one pond I was using a 3 ½ green shad color senko (green/off white.) Through out the year that same color at these two places worked better then any other color. About mid year when the green shad was working I fished a black/red senko at a local lake and was out fishing just about every color... My main chooses Green/shad shad moss red/black My fishing partner would use a blue/black mix and take control over the fish
  3. Is there any specific color(s) the work better then others over all? I fish for pickerel walleye and MAINLY bass. I honestly use 4in-5in swimbaits I found some trout design/colors which I was thinking about buying. Trout $13 shipped or Hitch $14 shipped I hear they are not very good but i heard the same about the megabait charlie which worked pretty well for me last year... Anyone have an opinion or suggestion. I don't want to pay much for lures ($6 or less) since I fish many rocky/brush filled ponds and lakes.
  4. even if you place 61st-75th you will make your entry fee back so thats a plus lol $
  5. I had a sweet program that predicted best times to fish based on the lunar cycle... It is a free program and was very accurate.. I would be depending on it throughout this week if I didn't end up deleting it... I will probably hit a place or two depending how much time I have. If I catch any thing decent (and remember my camera) I will post..
  6. welcome, do you fish the "Hollow?"
  7. How has things been since the storm.. i hit a small pond for 20min and didn't get any thing (I was fishing in a rush)
  8. IDK but, if you find out let me know...
  9. I can take you to a local pond where we for the most part have been having luck on decent size LMB... Tokyo or whom ever is closer to SW side of CT
  10. Just got back from twenty minutes - half an hour max of fishing a drained down 6ft-7ft lake. There where 5 of us fishing and every one caught fish, we caught about 8 LMB.
  11. We have been fishing the same lake for about a week or so.. For the most part we would catch fish in one or two areas. Sat. I caught about 7-10 LMB in one area all ranging in size... Sunday I went with my buddy (hence we) to the same lake and caught about 5 LMB out of another area of the lake... We were fishing from shore though I bet if we were on a boat we would have probably caught more... Though there were a few days/times of each day where we had no hits at all.
  12. Some what yes... Squantz Pond New Fairfield, Connecticut http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squantz_Pond_State_Park Some info This place has nice size LMB and SMB (walleye too) Anyone who is actually interested, shoot me a pm and we can chat on the phone or a messenger
  13. WTG Mike My local same city as well Daniel Hatstat Danbury CT Woot at least he made the top 10
  14. no joke I need to use your boat I sold mine a while back Its a forum tourney so its open for all members... By the way I am not trying to get forum x more members... Payout is 100 percent I believe there is a lunker fish bonus as well
  15. chuck we should hit a lake or pond together
  16. I am looking to see if anyone would be interested in being my partner on a tourney in sept... More info will be posted if anyone is interested
  17. I have been fishing clear water recently.. The most success I have had was in shaded areas, in near and around cover (weeds trees) also in deep water... I was using 5in senkos of many colors and techniques... In the shallow water which had some shade and some small tree limbs I was able to just let the senko fall/work slow to get hits. In the same area though (little deeper) I was swimming the senko I would also swim the senko near the top and every so often swim the senko to the surface... Clear water usually brings down my catch ratio but, I think the key is fish cover, shaded areas, use very realistic lures/baits and when using senkos or un-natural lures/baits fish them fast and wild... Probably the most confusing post on the bassresource forum but, I hope it helps
  18. awesome I uninstalled those programs on accident !!!!!
  19. Ooh I see The 2 programs I have are point click and type... If anyone is interested, I will give you more info.
  20. Like the title says Any one uses pc software? If so which I just downloaded idealog to test out. http://fishing.idealog.net/download.html
  21. They are aggressive because, the fish need to catch there meal before getting hit with a stray golf ball.... "Since there is no cover the bait fish move more, which forces the bass to hunt rather than ambush. This makes the bass way more aggressive. I think this is why I have caught 10 nice fish in an hour, and it is a very common thing to catch one on your first cast." Cover gah my local golf course lakes/ponds have all types of cover.. IS yours just a sand/silt/dirt bottom no weeds grass sticks NOTHING? The main reason is that these fish usually have no pressure from anglers and some have never seen a lure/soft plastics in there lives... The golf courses here have inlets and outlets for water and or big sprinklers which help to oxygenate the water. I hope to go to a local golf course today... Last year I lost a monster pickerel
