  1. I bought a new to me 2007 Triton Tr 186 and am wanting to get it rig for night fishing and I was wandering if anyone has tried out the Bluewater LED lighting systems and if so how well it worked and the ease of installation. If you have any other recommendations i.e. lights or manufacturers I would like to hear them.
  2. Optimax ? If so You might want to check out the compressor, belt, and tensioner.
  3. I have a TR 186 and like it alot... the only real gripe I have about it is there is no remote drain for the livewells. Take it to a quality mechanic and have it checked out................ 14k seems like a great deal providing you do the above and he gives it the green light. One thing I would question is only 25 hours on a three year old motor. Also if it is an Optimax make sure the mechanic does a thorough job on it....mine had a compressor work lose and get torn up luckily it was under warranty. The new compressor required a fourth mounting bolt that wasn't on the original.
  4. I had a powerdrive with a/p and liked it except for one thing .......noise. Evertime the a/p makes a steering adjustment you could definitely hear it. I now use a maxxum but if they get them quieter I would buy one again.
  5. Here is a great site for all the SI information you need........personally I mounted my ducer high enough where I don't have to worry about it, I also have a flasher for when I am on plane. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sideimaging/ p.s. a new ducer for an SI system is well over 200.00 dollars.
  6. This is an excellent site to get info: http://www.explorekentuckylake.com/ and if your planning on doing some fishing check out what Dave Stewart has to say.
  7. This is a good site to get Lake info. I was there about one week ago and it was about a foot over summer pool, stained, and low 60's in the morning. Spawn should be on. Site: http://www.explorekentuckylake.com/lakesarea/fishing/reports.htm
  8. Here's a 43 lb rock I took two years ago close to Nags Head. P.S. anyone heading that way I can recommend an excellent guide who fishes almost exclusively jigs.
  9. I am taking a fishing vacation starting the 12th of Feb. for about ten days to two weeks in and around the Lake Okeechobee area. I am taking my boat and have a guide the first day on Okeechobee after that I am pretty much on my own. I would appreciate any info from fisherman in the area including other lakes to check out in the area including some which would be good in case the wind is up. Basically it's a fishing trip with a little sight seeing on the side so I would appreciate any info you might share. Thanks Jeff
  10. I have bought from here before and the service was very good. http://www.boatplexiglasswindshields.com/
  11. I always keep two rods rigged with the same thing: 1. Carolina rig 2. Drop shot One because of the time it takes to rig it and the other because I use a spinning reel. I also have rods for the following: 3.Flippin stick 4.Worm/jig 5.Shallow cranks 6.Deep cranks
  12. 1997 Nitro Savage w/175 merc.
  13. CJ or anyone else who was there, I am heading down to KY Lake Thursday and Friday to test out my new HB 1197 SI how bad a beating did the area between the bridges take last week. Thanks Jeff
  14. What's strange to me (unless I am missing something) is Kentucky and Tenn have a reciprocal agreement that extends south to the 79 bridge so I am not sure how you don't know that your in Tenn. waters.
  15. I think the projected flow is suppose to be pretty low, down around 13,000. I caught most of mine either on the top near the edge or on the drop, water was pretty clear so used a pumpkinseed or plum. I am guessing but if I had been in a tournament my best five would have been 15 to 18 lbs so the bite is still pretty decent. p.s. I need to get a cable to download my pics from my cell phone (wish to heck I had my camera but didn't think about it before hand) but will be more than happy to share them when I do. The rigs these guys have is what I think are pretty neat so I have plenty of them......call it wishful dreaming.....lol
