I'm thinking about buying a swimbait rod, and i was thinking about getting one of bassproshops extreme rod and reelcombo, 7'6 H action with a 7.1:1 gear ratio. Sound good? I dont plan on using huge 9 inch swimbaits, mainly around 5 inches.
Also i was wondering what are some good swimbaits.
X2 LOL
I think that a bass getting used to a bait can be quicker than a year, i used a berkly power worm(black/chartruse) for quite a while this year, then the bite stoped on what i had been using, so i switched to brush beaver and the acion was on again.
i dont have a boat and where i fish there is a creek that gets to be about 10-15 feet at the deepest and the marina has plenty of docks and some rip rap. 20+ feet of water too, is ther anything i can do?
tomorrow I wanna go out around noon so that the sun has some time to warm the water up, only partly cloudy throughout the day and highs 39-43. I was thinkging I'd try wacky rigged senkos or jigs, mabey a swimbait goin really slow?
I would think that you could catch bass even in the low 40s. Remeber, bass dont just stop eating, they just dont eat as often and are not willing to go after baits like they do in the spring because they dont want to expend the energy.
I had this happen to me in the summer, were I was fishing EVERYDAY for usually 6 hours a day and then I enthusiam for fishing went down. I took about a week off, and read some articles on here, got a few new baits, and I got pumped for fishing again and couldnt wait to try some new stuff.
Well I dont know how long fall is gonna be since we just had some hail this morning and tomorrow we are supposed to get light snow, but for now, I was wondering if panfishing is productive this time of the year, and if so, can i have some tips?
that happened to me a few weeks ago, except it was on a long cast and about midway through the reeling, it looked like it was all out of fight and i was reeling it over the surface, then when i went to go and land it, it worked its magic and out came the hook :-?
My dad has some afircan ciclids, they are some really beautifull fish and they chase eachother around, it is really intresting to watch them because each one has funny habits and different personalitys.
