  1. 27 series battery is less than 2" longer. sure you can't squeeze them in? I have a 24' pontoon boat, 24v electric motor only I use because I bring my 3 rescue pals. I can easily run all day w/o a charge, maybe longer, but I recharge every night
  2. Loved the sounds of the Cranberries. I have every CD, and a couple DVDs of their concerts. Only 46, much too young. RIP
  3. any room left on the KVD bandwagon?
  4. fingernail polish works well. lots of color choices, chip resistant too
  5. I have 3 rescues, and they all go with me 99.9% of the time. I have a pontoon boat, electric powered. Or if I use my kayaks, 2 go in my kayak, I tow a second kayak with the 3rd guy. Nothing is more important to me than my best friends.
  6. GeeseMelvin, You can always get an extra spool and up the line one size. There are also bass specific lines that are weighted more towards the leader end. A 9 ft. leader isn't necessary for your frog. Play around with lengths and even try some 10lb. test, non tapered leader. After all, a bazillion bass have been caught on far heavier line A clean well lubed line can make a big difference also. Sometimes the experimenting is just as fun.
  7. personal experience?
  8. I fly fish quit a bit. Small/Large mouth Bass, trout, even some carp. If your after bass, you might be better off with a sinking line, or a sinking tip line, especially when the sun is out. You can also cast top flies, or terrestrials under overhanging trees/bushes. Practice your side arm casting, be prepared to catch some trees until you get the hang of it. Use a heavier leader/tippet than you have been using for Brookies (they sure are fun!) as bass will head for any weeds or structure when they can. Have fun!
  9. if you are referring to Bantam Mag Plus 150x XHS with the flipping switch, they are pretty good for light baits. very easy to cast w/o backlashing
  10. Snowing already in Toronto, eh?
  11. yes to all of your answers. there is no wrong way to fish a spoon, other than leaving it in the box. good for a variety of fish, other than bass

  16. Long winter here. I painted a couple with black fingernail polish. a buck at the $ store. Still ice in most places near me
  17. Bass Pro will be running their Spring sale ( might already be going on) their own line of combos are very good for the money. The Extreme series is a darn good bargain. at $250, you might consider 2 in different configurations . one fast, one slower for cranks or spinnerbaits you use most often
  18. if you look at condos, read the property management rules carefully. especially in reference to pets, parking, fees, etc.
  19. You are both 100% Correct. What I meant/should have said was the north side, due to the southern exposure.
  20. south side should warm up quicker, shallow areas
  21. I bought a Z03 from a member here for a neighbor's kid. He loves it, casts it darn well. Rock solid too
