I'm just the opposite, hardly ever use novacaine. Hate that "fat lip" feeling afterwards, and drinking coffee and have it run down my face cause I can't feel it. Some people have extra sensitive teeth and are bothered by hot and cold things. Listen to your parents when they tell you to brush your teeth, and CLEAN your ROOM!

Go on non tournament days, during similar conditions, in the areas that you will be fishing in during competition. Now is your chance to gain experience. Try Chatterbaits, big single blade spinnerbaits, something with a lot of vibration. Noisy buzzbaits, are worth giving a shot. You will kick butt the lazy guys that stay home.

Youi can put a rattle in a tube, might be worth a shot.

You say you need to learn how to drive a boat. Do you really care about 80 mph? You're fishing dude! I'd want to know about storage,stability, reliability, etc.

Washers corrode. after reading this i checked a rod that had washers for 2 season and they still looked like new. if a person is really worried i guess they could spend $.50 a pack more and get zinc. Why bother to drive to a hardware store just to get a pack of 50 cents zinc washers when Quarters are readily available around the house, saves you the drive . Besides you only one or two quarters at the most to correct the balance of a good rod. If it needs more than 3 quarters to correct the balance then you might as well just buy another rod. Besides they might come in handy for a phone call
