  1. If he is referring to a similar reel as J Franco's, it will cost more than $80 on e bay.
  2. Just like anything else, in the right hands, not a problem. Pits are very smart, loving dogs.
  3. Just google Jerry Foran, he's out of Florida.
  4. Texas is ranked #2 for gun violence, maybe they should ban Texans from owning guns?
  5. Unfortunately, that doesn't help when you or someone else is being mauled. Like I said, if you cannot train your dog/or are not willing to pay someone to do it, don't get a dog. That's what I meant as being a responsible dog owner.
  6. If they were to ban dogs with consideration to jaw force (ridiculous as it sounds), they would first have to ban German Shepherds,Rottweilers,Bulldogs,Mastiffs, just to name a few, all of which have more jaw force than a Pit. Any dog can be aggressive, all dog owners should be responsible for their dog. If you don't want to/can't train your dog, hire a professional. If you are not willing to be responsible, don't get a dog.
  7. That is one sweet reel!
  8. I have worked with Animal Control, and dog rescues for quit a few years. I have seen a lot of Pits, many of them are the sweetest dog you have ever seen. But like Jimzee said, the owners usually can be traced to the problem dogs. Dogs (all dogs) need to be socialized. Putting a spiked collar on them, allowing them to act aggressively w/o enforcing correct behavior, isolation, etc. is going to bring out the worst in any dog. Pits have above average intelligence (mo), and will do what they are taught. I have fostered many pits, I have one now that was returned because of dog aggression, he is currently living with my own two dogs w/o the slightest problem. Most animal rescues will check the potential dog owners out, backyard breeders, and AC will give anybody a dog that is a lot of the problem itself. I urge anyone who loves dogs to volunteer at your local animal shelter, you can learn so much, do a lot of good, and have a good time.
  9. I like using round reels also. Abu C-5s, and Cabelas Prodigy round reels. I guess most people like the modern, streamlined, look of LP. 8-)
  10. More time to go fishing, always look for the bright side of a situation
  11. Think he was referring to the splenda. Real men drink it straight up.
  12. "kinda no fishing" "underfished" This sounds like another dumb blond joke ;D
  13. Also free room and board, not to mention some very interesting room-mates ;D
  14. There are many different kinds, side mount, top mount, even a clamp on type that might work. Really research before you drill, mark it well with a sharpie when you are in your yak to get the best location.
  15. Sharp bit, don't force it, not too much speed, support it from behind. What kind of kayak are you talking about?
  16. Guess Idaho isn't the only state that does that.
  17. I thought you were joking about the two pole permit, so I googled it. I have never heard of a permit for using 2 poles, or am I misunderstanding something? :-?
  18. Catching your PB on the 1st cast of the !st time out of the year. Too bad it's not on your list
  19. I like Hank Parker too, just seems like a regular guy. I like them round ABU's too
  20. Don't you just love youtube!
  21. This has been gone through before, but I do as Ohio does. Split a spool between two reels.
  22. Tom Hanks in Castaway WILSON!!!!
  23. Spoken like a 15 y/o ;D
  24. I'd say the 60's Yardbirds,Stones, Dylan,Supremes,Hendrix, on and on
  25. I agree with this one . Go back and look at the videos of the older Classics and look at the bags caught with the old "round reels" and shorter pistol grip rods. Finding fish has been made easier thru electronics but you still have to put the right bait in the right spot with the right technique to CATCH them. Some of us prefer to use those "old" round reels
