  1. Was it P T Barnum who was given credit for saying "There's one born every minute"?
  2. Just got my new Bass Pro catalogue. They have a $1500 spinning reel. Santa just had a stroke.
  3. Instead of a leash, use a stringer ?
  4. She was fortunate to have someone there to get help. Best wishes in a speedy recovery
  5. THAT'S NOT A BASS!!!! Bill Dance fell in the water again, Roland's just trying to fish him out ?
  6. It's all good. When hiking, I carry a fly rod, or spinning rod. Can usually find a river, stream, or small pond out in the middle of nowhere. I also carry a rod in both of my trucks, in case I come across a pond or reservoir. I also have kayaks, canoe, rowboat, and pontoon boat. Can't say one is better than the other.
  7. Walmart, Everstart MAXX batteries are good. I'd stick with them. You've had good luck with them. They come in the 24 size.
  8. Love blade baits! Small mouth, Trout, Walleye, etc., all love them....for awhile ? You should try Binsky's. You can get them at tacklewarehouse, or directly from the manufacturer. http://www.fishsenselures.com/ Different weights, colors, and each has 4 different attachment spots.
  9. It would depend on where you fish, and structure. Off shore, or in a boat. Ask other anglers fishing where you plan on fishing, many are willing to help.
  10. Or just go for the real deal, a fly rod. Once you try it, "you'll" be hooked. ?
  11. How about nail polish? Cheap, waterproof, ez touch up if you bang it off rocks
  12. Two small zip ties. One around the rod, the other through the other.
  13. I was just going to post, “rock snot” is the thing you should be concerned with most. Especially if you fish in a fast current area. You should look into a wading staff as well. FYI, I wear felt, not aware of any restrictions in my area.
  14. Don't let him spoil your day. Sounds like you're doing good, having fun. That's all that matters.
  15. Maybe your fishing buddy doesn't have many friends and is trying to impress you? Invite to a lake or pond, out of his "comfort zone". Chances are you might do better than he does. If so, don't bust his stones, maybe he'll take the hint. If he truly is an ass, move on and forget him, fishing is all about fun.
  16. My three best friends and fishing buddy's never complain.
  17. Seriously, this is your biggest concern? ?‍♂️
  18. Yeah well I guess ya gotta know your limits.
  19. You know what they say about fly fishing. Once you try it, you're hooked ?
  20. Keep a lookout in overhanging trees, and semi submerged trees. You would be surprised at the good lures you can find. Many people won't bother trying to retrieve a snagged lure, especially if they are in a bigger bass boat.
  21. Walk Like an Egyptian
  22. Maybe just a big hawker? ?
  23. That's what happens when the skirt comes loose and you don't have anything else except the bag your PB&J you brought with you ?
  24. Bread twisty
