  1. bought mine off ebay, as well. no problems.
  2. odd. i usually have several parts left over.
  3. got the otterbox for an iphone. it feels a lot safer now.
  4. They were winning? SECSECSECSECSEC touche'. 8-)
  5. whatever you do, never tie a 3/16 oz. ballhead/zoom finesse worm on it...forget it, don't try it, don't even bother. especially, if you're on the same lake as i am. 8-)
  6. no bash here but, my suspicion is that the primary reason for kvd's success lies with the equipment buzzing between his ears...more so than those between his hands.
  7. the "22" refers to the type of handle on the rod. glx and imx spinning models use the "22" handle configuration.
  8. if you gots no doubt, keep 'em. if you gots doubt, sell 'em, upgrade 'em or give 'em to the yancy streeters down the block.
  9. you may wanna add rod/reel used for each fish. not for the faint-hearted tho...at the end of a year's time, most folks are usually surprised at how little is needed to catch most of their fish.
  10. the christmas day snow was fun. am way over this white crap out in the yard now.
  11. have fished the 703 and the 803 side by side...both are excellent rods and either will do what you're looking for them to do. that said, i much prefer the glx...in my hands, it is the more accurate of the two for pitching...the more sensitive, as well. ymmv.
  12. i got the reactions of a slug. slow reel + slow rod = lost fish for me.
  13. they looked like devo on crack.
  14. have not used the avid mm but, if history follows suit, am gonna guess it's awfully close to the 843. in my hands, the avid mhm and the loomis cbr845 fish bad close to each other in terms of power and action...as does the avid hm and the cbr847. any slight difference between them may come from the difference in handle lengths...the handle on the cbr series is an inch or so shorter than the avid handles...if the handles were identical, one would be hard pressed to tell the difference between them.
  15. probably a good reel...the certate series have quite a following around the wide world of web. that said, can't see one in my future...rarely use a spinner anymore.
