  1. Yes. At least I do.
  2. Looks alot like Strike King's old Wild Thangs which were a pretty good lure for me. I like it!
  3. That's a good looking dog, A-Jay. Great job on rescuing an animal from the pound also.
  4. If I could only have one rod or a rod to use as an all purpose rod it would be a 6'6" - 6'8" med./fast. It may not do everything great but it can do just about everything well enough.
  5. I don't think it has as much to do with depth perception. It has to do with being able to see at night. If you can't see the lure, it's impossible to tell when to stop the spool on a B.C. reel. With a spinning reel it does not matter. 9 times out of 10 when night fishing, I'm using a spinner. If there is decent light I can use a B.C. but a spinner is just easier and more fun for me.
  6. X2. I use all kinds of hooks but these are by far my favorite.
  7. Yep. Strike King Shaw's pro series 4" creature hog. Stopped making them a year or two ago. I have a pack but have never used them.
  8. Sorta. I was fishing a small local lake and got snagged. Pulled and tugged for what seemed like forever. Finally got it free and reeled in. What happened was I got caught on someone else's snag that they broke off. So I reeled in about ten yards of line, a piece of a tree branch, and a small channel catfish that was caught on the snagged line! I forgot my pliers that day and he was hooked deep on a Kahle hook. I had to cut the line and let him go but I figured he had a better chance that way than being "leashed" to a tree.
  9. Those are nice fish. I agree 3-3.5#.
  10. You can also use airline tubing made for aquariums. It's available at any pet store and most stores pet departments.
  11. Exact same. Different package, different count, different price. Exact same lure.
  12. Try "Tex-Posing" or skin hooking the hook. Run the hook through the lure and let the hook point rest on the back of the lure. If you need it totally weedless, lightly push the hook point back into the "skin" of the bait.
  13. That was insane!
  14. It appears so. I just got a pack of 1/0 and a decal. I took the quiz and the survey so hopefully I'll get another pack.
  15. lol. my mistake but kind of to the point. He'd still argue and he'd still know he was right.
  16. My Uncle. Same reason. He'd argue jet propulsion with a rocket scientist. Lucky for me, I usually only see him on Christmas and sometimes Thanksgiving so it's almost as if he has been banned for a year.
  17. Who cares if it has airbags? It's an 84 Town Car. It will plow through darn near anything on the road today. Smart cars and Mini's have airbags and all of today's safety features. I'll take the Lincoln everytime. Remind the ol' lady that she grew up in these cars and she is still around to be an ol' lady. If that Lincoln has a 302 parts are dirt cheap and easy to get. Gas mileage may not be great but I had an 88 cougar with a 302 and it wasn't that bad. Average around 20 mpg. Keep your eyes out you'll find something you all can be happy with. I just bought a 97 Cadillac Catera with 84,000 miles for $2,200. Yeah, it's starting to rust a little on the driver side rear quarter but nothing major and an easy fix. Not the greatest car in the world but it gets my wife back and forth to work. If nothing else you could always buy him a Dodge like Al drove!
  18. Trilene for me too. Doesn't matter what type of line I'm using. Quick, easy, and I've never had a problem with it.
  19. Not exact to the ones I have but close enough. Thanks Ima
  20. If you can find any let me know. I like those clips also but I cannot find them anywhere. I haven't seen them around for at least 2 years.
  21. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I'll get some hooks! I love free.
  22. Yeah, the prices where kinda wacky. The yozuri line I bought was priced at $12.99. About what I would expect but rage tails at $6.99? Rapala's at $8-$9? The GYBC stuff they had was priced at around $6.00 and the kinami baits at about $5.00. With 33% off of those prices, thats not bad. Like I said, not the best deals but worth a look.
  23. When I was about 9 or 10 a few friends an I were screwing around, playing in the back yard. One of them decided to throw a coffee can in the air. Why we had a coffee can I have no idea, but it came down right on my head with the open side. It didn't really hurt but boy did it bleed. I still have a scar on the back of my melon from that!
  24. Give it a whirl Rhino and let us know if it works out! Adventure/date night with the wife. If it does'nt work out it may even turn into hospital night.
  25. If you have an Ollie's Bargain Outlet near you (seems to be more east coast), check them out. They had a 4.2 million dollar buyout of leftover 2011 fishing gear from Sports Authority. No earth shattering deals but it is 33% off Sports Authority's prices. They actually had some pretty good stuff. GYBC, Wave, Berkley, Zoom, Strike King and a bunch more. Also had reels, rods, combos, nets, hooks, and tackle boxes. Nothing real high end for rods and reels at the store I went to but they did have Shimano Sedonas and Saharas. I picked up a spool of Yozuri Hybrid for $8.70 and a Scum Frog Bigfoot for $4.35. Here's a link to there site if you want to see if you have one nearby. http://olliesbargainoutlet.com/
