  1. Pretty sure OP is talking about the dust cap that threads into the opposite side of the handle on a spinning reel. Kinda surprising that pflueger doesn't offer it. I would think that would be the most lost/damaged part on any spinning reel. This one looks about right for my wife's trion but not the same part number so I'm not sure. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/dust-cap-p-1433288.html
  2. I'd be taking a long hard look at the 7'2" heavy rod for those baits and this price. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1024716717 Never used a TFO rod but for that price it certainly has me interested.
  3. Midway has some Temple Fork rods for a little over half off.
  4. Wait till you throw a spinnerbait on that combo. It's wonderful. That rod and 30 lb braid can do almost anything and do it pretty good.
  5. There is no rubberband on the skirt. The skirt is held on with a string like a hand tied skirt. Probably a machine tied skirt. They hold up pretty good.
  6. What rubberband? They use a tied 50 strand skirt.
  7. I like this one pretty good. 3.5 stars. Add some decent boxes and other bits and bobs and it becomes at least 4.5 stars. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/samurai-tactical-seigyo-slim-tackle-backpack-20frtusgyslmbckpctbx/20frtusgyslmbckpctbx
  8. You can still use a swivel if you want/need to (I use one for flukes). Just have to use a much shorter leader and keep the swivel out of the guides.
  9. Falcon lowrider 7' mh/mf is the same price as a fury and has great guides and better cork. Great rod. The bucoo trapcaster is $100.00. For a long time the fury and bucoo were considered the best $100.00 dollar rods. I hear the Powell diesel crankbait rods are pretty good for $90.00 but I have no personal experience with one.
  10. For $2.50 they are pretty good. I had one tied on almost all last summer. They catch fish for sure. Eagle Claw hooks and a bearing swivel, whats not to like?
  11. If your looking for abrasion resistance Sufix tritanium may be worth a look. I bought a spool this winter but have not been able to try it yet. The price is pretty good and tackle tour gave it good marks 20 years ago. Lol. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewsufixtrit.html As far as advance goes, I liked it. Didn't love it or hate it. It certainly is low stretch and memory wasn't terrible. Abrasion resistance seemed pretty good.
  12. Hula grub
  13. Get well soon, Catt.
  14. /\ /\ See avatar.
  15. Falcon lowrider all 'round. 7' Mh/mf for $130.00 or for $100.00 same spec bucoo trapcaster.
  16. Just make sure it has an aluminum frame. Beyond that it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. I also use a $45.00 Quantum Icon on a $70.00 Falcon Bucoo Lizard Dragger 2 Brc-7-17. Simple, cheap, and effective.
  17. X2. Been a fantastic backpack for me so far.
  18. I'd have no problem buying another rod from Midway. They ship in a relatively heavy cardboard tube. I've only ordered from them once and USPS destroyed the rod but Midway was great. Ordered on the 20th of Dec. and had the rod on Christmas Eve. Customer service was very apologetic and helpful. Trying to get a claim against USPS now but Midway gives 90 days if that doesn't work out.
  19. Woah! Been like ten years. Lol. ? Welcome back.
  20. I have no experience with aird rods but I hear for the money they are about as good as your going to get. The Ark catalyzer might be another option for around $40.00 on sale. However if I was looking for new budget rods I can almost guarantee they would be Falcon Bucco's from sportsmans outfitters. Even buying used your going to be hard pressed to find a better rod for $70.00. You can do just about everything with a BRC-517 trap caster and a BRC-717 heavy lizard dragger. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/falcon-bucoo-sr-rods
  21. If Matt or Tim recommends it, it's tactical?
  22. I have one as well. It's been a great bag after changing out the boxes. $40.00 - $50.00 from DSG.
  23. For soft plastics without a doubt junebug but a blue fleck worm is a great in between color.
  24. One small bass fishing it texas rigged. I only used it for about a half an hour though.
  25. No idea but I bought a few bags. Got out to use them for a little bit. They have a nice kicking action. I like them so far.
