  1. I've heard a few people complain about the Swamp Donkey taking on water. Anyone had this problem?
  2. One of my favs too. The headset makes me chuckle too Tony. I guess he thinks he's at the state fair.
  3. I saw this commercial on late-night tv. "You'll love my nuts." ;D What a knob.
  4. Baby back ribs with Gates bbq sauce.
  5. Great receiver? What are you smokin'? Are you referring to Terry Mickens or Billy Shroeder? Perhaps you meant Corey Bradford, no wait, I meant Robert Ferguson.
  6. I would gladly pay $20 to see a Tollbooth Willie movie. That sucker would have to be rated NC-17 for the language alone. "Ah, Bishop Nelson....." A cameo by the goat would be a must.
  7. I'm a big fan of their finesse jigs. I caught more bass last spring on these jigs than any other. I have been wanting to try their grass jigs for some time.
  8. Yup yup. The tiny chunk has saved my bacon a few times.
  9. As hot as she is, I can't give Jessica Biel any love. Anyone who dates Justin Timberlake is a mindless hooch in my book. That kid is a freakin' joke.
  10. I know you didn't mention this one, but Cumaras have been going very cheap on fleabay lately.
  11. That makes another one to put on my 'tubes to buy' list this year. 8-) Let us know what you think, if the tubes catch fish anything like the trailers I'll be buying a bunch.
  12. Good one. My Dear Watson, something smells fishy. Just so everyone knows, I bought every one of these the store had left before they changed ownership last year around May or so. AS a friend of mine who owned the place had terminal cancer and was trying to sell the place before he died. he made me a deal on a bulk purchase, so i probably bought over 100 baits at the same time. Nearly 75 lucky crafts alone. I really don't remember if the bevy shad was bought then or not as I just noticed it when i was checking all my tackle getting ready for spring. It was already in my tackle box, so may not be related. The Slender pointers have been in a brown paper bag since last spring when i carried them out of the store. I still have the packages they came out of yesterday. They have not been in the water or in a tackle box. I am not trying to bash Lucky Craft, just asking a question of anyone who might have dealt with returning any defective baits to them. As a matter of fact, I have just about switched to using them entirely for my jerkbaits and crankbait needs. I proably have $2500 worth of their lures alone. Thanks bait monkey They have no bulges or anything that would be heat related and none of the other baits I bought were like this either. Years ago, I left a tackle storage container sitting on the deck of my boat and it was over 90 degrees that day. Every Rapala husky jerk in the box exploded, while none of the other baits did. I just asked my bait store buddy about them, and he took them all back and returned them to Rapala. They sent him all new lures at no cost, which he have to me. The only reason i asked was to get some opinions on whether it is worth the time to contact them or not. RW, I respect you, read a lot of your posts, and think you give excellent advice. We have a mutual friend in Tim "hotdawg" Curtis. I live in Mtn. home and used to guide with him when i was in college and even worked at BSLBD one summer. But i can't understand what you are referring to about the rest of the story and tires getting puntured by hooks during the accident. There was no accident. They came this way out of the package. anyway, if you want to bash me and call me a liar, send a PM. The Next KVD. thanks for answering the posted question. I think I remember reading that as well, but could not find it when i searched. I hear you cotter. This has happened to me before with baits. I don't see why is sounds fishy. How many of us have bought lures and simply not fished them for a season or so? I know I have many times. If the Bait Monkey bites me hard, and I buy a ton of lures in a short time, this scenario is very plausible. I'm always finding new, expensive lures in a crumpled up BPS bag. I have also found defects in some of these lures, when I know they have been protected in a hard box 24/7. Most of the time I've just bitten the bullet on 'em, or just got lazy and never contacted the company. The few times I've contacted the manufacturer, I've been treated very well, and sent replacements. It's definitley worth a shot, let us know how it turns out.
  13. The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was Booger from Revenge of the Nerds: "I've been combin' the high-schools all day." ;D
  14. I know this is a bass board, and at times all I do is yap about walleye, but I have been wanting to add a few of these to my wally crankin' arsenal for some time.
  15. I keep a few in my main walleye box because I seem to use them more fishing for 'eyes. My only complaint is that after awhile, the caps do not fit as tightly as they should. Otherwise I'm a fan. If they will make you a bit more confident, pick up a couple. Also, I find the marker form to be very convenient.
  16. I guess it's time to start taking bets to see if by chance the chubbies see the post-season, what team will sweep them this year. ;D
  17. Miles puts another left-handed bat in their order. The MB rumors have me a bit unesy; his bat is wicked. On the other hand the guy is a headcase. Hopefully the bleacher bums will give it to him good. Meltdown city here he comes.
  18. "My wife would like that." ;D
  19. You bet, the perch eat the he** outta that thing.
  20. Happy happy everyone. I'll try to check back in tomorrow, though I'll probably still be drunk.
  21. For electronics a Vexilar and/or underwater camera are tuff to beat. An UL rod is the way to go for panfish, as is 2 lb test. Check these guys out for jigs: http://www.customjigsandspins.com/index.html The Rat Finkee, and Nuclear Ants are staples in these parts. Also check out the Rocker and Demon jigs. Any of the jigging spoons that look hot will work. Don't forget to pick-up some finesse plastics. Both Customs and this place make great ones: http://www.isgfishing.com/acatalog/Online_Catalog_Panfish_Products_29.html The Northland Airplane jig is another hot item. Other hot jigs and spoons are: the Lindy Genz Worm; the Lindy Genz Bug; the Lindy Rattl'n Flyer Spoon; the Lindy Fat Boy jig; and the Northland Forage Minnow jig and spoon. That'll be a great start for a jig arsenal. Here are two more links to quality ice jigs:http://www.baddoglures.com/ http://www.jamminjigs.com/
  22. You don't have to rub it in. Oh yea, a jig.
  23. I have not fished that specific combo, but MH is the way to go for pike. Salmo Chubby Darters are a killer jigging lure; jigging spoons too, something like the Swedish Pimple. Try tipping the jigging spoons with big minnow, shiner, or golden roach heads. My favorite rig for pike is a big ol' stinky dead smelt on a tip-up. Frabill makes my favorite tip-up. Check out the polar model. Do you plan on panfishing at all?
  24. Our former organist at church would sneak out between songs to smoke; talk about tacky, and the scent would follow him in as well. After being warned several times, he had to find a new venue.
  25. This will be the first thing I pray on before I hit the pillow.
