A TW order arrived today: Simms shorts and sandals, TRDs and jig heads, the large Molix Lover, Keitech Little Spiders, tungsten, and Rage Lobsters.
Then tonight I broke down and ordered a custom 2015 XF Z-bone from Kistler...couldn't pass up 35% off.
My father was a walleye and perch guy. My buddy is the same way. We cut our teeth bass fishing together. We never left the dock without junebug and tequila sunrise Power Worms.
I would step up to at least a conservative MH for a six inch Senko...especially in cover.
The St. Croix Avid AVC70MHXF plus a Curado I would come in under $400.
Let us know how you like the stick, and what it can handle please. I am curious about 13's MH rods, and am thinking about the MH Archangel...I wondering if it will be too much rod for a 1/4oz bullet weight plus plastic. Thanks.
For anything big I absolutely adore the Megabass Super Red Demon. It is rated up to eight ounces.
I currently have a Lin Black Jungle on her, loaded with braid, and I couldn't be happier. I look for an excuse to use this stick.
I purchased it from the Tackle Trap.
On the other end of the spectrum I adore the 7'1"MH Cumulus and Core 51 combo...haven't found a better one for the Baby Rage Craw.
I purchased it from TW.
Did some night fishing off of our dock this weekend. I was so jacked to be at our cabin I quickly tied on my baits and scurried down to the pier.
A little after midnight Saturday AM I hooked into an absolute beast. I was tossing a black and blue spinnerbait on a Megabass X4 Destruction.
The Destruction is rated up to 3 1/4 oz, so it's a pretty stout stick...well that thing was bent over from the weight of this hawg.
I got it about ten feet from the dock, then slack line...it had gotten off. I literally got weak in the knees. It felt like a possible PB.
Lesson learned: use those trailer hooks!
