Casting:
-G Loomis NRX 802C JWR/Daiwa PX68L
-Dobyns DX701C/Shimano Conquest 51S
-St Croix LTBC69MLXF/Yellow Pixzilla
Spinning:
-Up until I broke it last year, I used a St Croix LES70MLF/Daiwa Fuego 2500. I am in the process of using the Gold Star + Upgrade Plan to acquire a LXS70MLF. It will be paired with a Daiwa Certate 2500.
I have the Antares AR, as Shimano does not offer a lefty in the Calais 100 platform.
The reel is ridiculously smooth, and it feels bullet proof. I use mine as a cranking reel, and it is outstanding for this presentation.
I believe the AR holds 110 yards of 10lb.
I was thinking the same thing...awesome. Those sticks surely don't get enough love. I am really hoping Shimano surprises us this summer with their replacements.
I dumped Hughes for Masterson at the beginning of the season, so that has worked out well so far. Lol.
I so wanted J Up this year, but my draft position kind of prohibited me from getting a shot at him. I had my fingers crossed he would be there at the end of the third round...almost made it.
I heard it that night on Quick Pitch and couldn't stop laughing.
It looks like Roberts will be out 2-4 weeks. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/orioles-roberts-miss-2-4-181026922--mlb.html
Thanks. This is going to be tough for me, as I have such a hard time taking pitchers early. My mocks, so far, have went pretty well.
Yup, I think he is slated to start at 3B.
We have our 12 man H-H draft Friday night. I am picking at the 12 spot, and have never drafted on the turn before; I have always been somewhere in the middle. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
Has anyone been watching V-Mart this Spring?
Apparently the Crew signed a lamp post yesterday: http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/03/brewers-sign-yuniesky-betancourt.html
I wouldn't feel too bad, they look like they may win the Central this year.
On a Central-related note, the Crew signed Lohse. A bit too rich for me. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/03/brewers-to-sign-kyle-lohse.html
A t-rigged Baby Rage Craw was my number one producer from the dock last year. I generally fish with a 3/16-1/4 oz tungsten bullet weight, and sometimes I add a bead.
I forgot to add that if you want to stick with a domestic reel, the Calcutta TE 101GT is worth a look.
I really wish Shimano made a 101 in the Calcutta DC
