I am happy to report that G Loomis sent me a new MBR 844 after I broke mine on a hook set. I shipped it out 3 weeks ago. My new one arrived yesterday. No questions asked. Only out of pocket was shippng to them. I added 2 NRX rods to my boat this week and they are insane. Loomis is still #1 in my book!!!

Well I just sent a rod in to the warranty department. Lets see how it turns out. Imx 844 that honestly broke on a hookset. I have only broken one other rod in 10 years. The first one was my fault. This one however was not. So I am curious to see what Loomis comes back with. I have never used the warranty department or the xpeditor service. I do not think the increase in price for the service is unfair. Accidents happen and it is a great service to have for such an expensive rod.

Sorry to hear about your job and I wish you luck in finding something else. You make a great argument about extra staff in the wrong places. You hear about this kind of thing happening everywhere. I hope the economy turns for the better, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

We have had 25 inches of snow in the last 16 days. This sucks. Broke a record for most snow in a February for our area.

OK. i do not want to start a Ford, Chevy, Toyota bashing. I would like honest opinions from anyone that owns any of these vehicles and uses them for family/ towing a bass boat. I currently own a 2004 F150 Super Crew. Great truck, but looking into buying a new SUV. The reasons behind this are 5 yr old twins and a new puppy. With thoughts of going on family trips/fishing trips. The big three I am considering are Sequoia, Suburban, or Expedition EL. I have taken all 3 for test drives, but I Would like input from people that have owned these and have put some mileage on them. Thanks Kenny

That was my first trip. We may come back down this year for family vacation again. Got to see what cash flow does.

We caught some decent fish. I think the air temp was about 100 degrees and the water was in the 90's . I went out with a guide from Tarpon Tom's. I had fun and learned some new things.

I just got back from a recent trip to Guntersville. I wanted to post my past experiences I have had. We have been going down there for about 5 years. Each year we do a couple 3 night trips and then 1- 7 night trip. Every time we stay at a house rented from The Waterfront Grocery & Tackle. Before I go any farther this is a fishing cabin, not The Ritz. Great price, Located mid lake easy access to run north or south. Boat ramp is right there and you are staying next to the grocery and tackle store. By the way the lunch specials are really good if you come off the water to eat. But the best part about it is the people that run this. They are always friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. They also have in my opinion one of the most knowledgeable guides on the lake. His name is Doug Campbell. If you want a fun day on the water and are looking to hire a guide this is your man. I have learned so much about this lake from him. I just thought I should share my experiences because to me customer service is #1 in my book and they have always been great.

I would take his tourney record any day.

You might want to do some research before you spend that much on a lowrance. I do not have one, but I have noticed everyone complaining about water issues. I fished a BFL last weekend and my boater had 2 of the HSD8 units. He has swapped them out twice and he said he had to wait about 6 weeks to get the replacements. He wishes he never would have bought them.
