  1. TW has both the Daiwa T and Powell Deisel rods on sale for $60. Those aT's are about as good as you can get in that price range.
  2. What is the canoe actually made out of? I have hard time believing that a plastic or PVC tarp would cause mold?
  3. What he said or grab a Shimano Sahara 2500.
  4. "The Man of 10,000 Posts" (most of them futile) I will call him: MuskieRaider.
  5. If i were you, I would do an Okuma Swimbait rod in H or MH, and a 200 or 300 series Cardiff. Then you have a very multipurpose stick, and you should be able to get it for sub 200 total. That C3 5500 is fine too though...nothing wrong with that.
  6. My best was crawling big dark plastic worms through and around the cypress trees, moving from shallow to deep across the creek channel that runs through there. Get a boat if you can.
  7. Classy ovation from Nats fans for Pujols. However, Strasburg, Desmond, and Teddy Roosevelt injured themselves clapping. Sigh.
  8. Get one in the wrong color and have someone paint it.
  9. Good luck with that. I used to fish Walldoxie state park back in the day. Some really goof fish in there for a small lake, but that was 20 years ago.
  10. Wait....KennyG's NOT a woman?
  11. Hard boiled eggs and coffee for breakfast. Long drive, heater on. Problem solved.
  12. How y'all feel about the replay? It seems like every close play tonight Fredo Gonzalez runs out on The field and then waits for the clubhouse to tell him to review or not. They have to put a time limit on these things.
  13. Check LL Bean for their light saltwater spinning rods. Long handle, faster action and I think they're about $80. I've used mine for 1-5ish ounce baits as well as frogs on occasion. It will LAUNCH a hudd or Punker.
  14. Great story!
  15. Also - you have the best hams and bacon in the world at Benton's Country Ham. Go get some. Thank me later.
  16. Notchy Creek area isn't bad if you have a boat. I like the upper reaches of Tellico and Chilhowee reservoirs, lots of variety.
  17. Runaway tractor? Det cord? 1/4 sticks? Your friend with a sledge?
  18. Rob beat me to it....Darwin just about snuck up on that guy...
  19. Depending on how big a slammer you're talking about, you'll be fine in that 2 oz and under range with 13-15 lb lines. The problem will come when you want to let that 795 stretch its legs a little with some bigger baits. Cast offs hurt quick with big expensive baits.
  20. Yes, he's "Tied" up with the youngster and work a lot...
