  1. Yet another disappointing postseason without Strasburg. Couldn't hit with RISP.
  2. You guys do know the Dodgers still have to beat Scherzer at Nats Park, right? And no way heck do the Dodgers take the Cubs to 7 games; I would expect that one to be 4-1 at best.
  3. Yeah...those swimbaits get expensive...
  4. A tube sock full of rocks with a rope tied to the middle or end makes a perfectly serviceable anchor for a one-person inflatable. The crappie probably either washed in, or was an accidental in the stocking as sometimes happens. Crappie are big schoolers, so if there's one there should be multiple. They'll spawn on small flats with brush next to the creek channel in spring. this whole thread is painful.
  5. I have my doubts about that thing being able to float you face up if you're unconscious in the water, due to basic physics. So no, I'd leave that one to a plaything.
  6. Wilson Ramos with a torn ACL for the Nats on a bad throw by Zimmerman. Who'd of thunk his crap arm would still haunt us with him at first base?
  7. Nats (finally) clinched last night, although not brimming with confidence with Stras and Murphy hurt. Maybe the lack of confidence is a good thing. Like Dusty's World Series record...
  8. My Nucanoe has a 41" beam. I highly doubt that boat is going to be very stable if you have weight above the seats. Wear your vest.
  9. Then yes. spring for the 12" wheels.
  10. Is that a Harbor Freight boat trailer?
  11. Harbor freight has boat trailers that you put together yourself that would fit that bill, or, with your boat/trailer budget, I'd try to get both as a package.
  12. My first thought was carp. Depends on the angle.
  13. Have you tried apartment finder?
  14. UT will be just fine against Va Tech. As al said above, they didn't really stretch their legs on offense (although that was a little too close for comfort). Also - App State was just outside the top 25, they're not a bad team. I think I have more excuses somewhere... GBO!
  15. REI has some great store-branded tents, I'd look at those in whatever size fits your mattress. $200 is a tough price range for a good big tent.
  16. It's ok. You get over it once you die.
  17. Tie a baseball sized rock in a t-shirt, and then to anchor rope. Drop that over with 10 ft or so of rope, depending on your depth. You now have a drift (or in shallow water-drag) anchor.
  18. Have you considered something like bed liner or one of the spray or paint on coatings for in there? Would alleviate the grit issue and would be hard to lose.
  19. Sharp bit, go slow don't push, and masking tape can help with dust/chipping and helps the bit get an initial 'grab'
  20. The lakes are very warm right now and an absolute zoo on the weekends. Get up lake when they're generating from the dams as the fish love the cooler oxygenated water. Fish really early, and fish into the night. It's tough out there right now.
  21. CATS!!! Or a honey badger...he don't give a...
  22. It sounds like you already have a heavy rod if you're fishing frogs, so I'm going to go a different direction - get a whopper plopper or a Mini MS Slammer in black or bluegill. Slow retrieve on the surface so they can do what they do. Don't. Look. Back.
  23. There's no comparison with other burger joints (5 Guys, In and Out, etc.), but when it's 3 AM and you've put both Anheiser and Busch's kids through college that night, there's nothing better than big bag of Krystal's.
  24. I was just telling my wife we hadn't seen a Clayton ( or Raider) life drama post in a while...
  25. I have a Nucanoe Frontier 12 that I can rig tandem or single, and it has incredibly comfortable seats. It paddles better than the Internet says it does, but it's not a distance boat. It also has a small flat transom for a motor. There is not a peddle drive for it that I am aware of, and it may be big on your Civic, but it was the best solution I found for a tandem boat with some flexibility. It's a great fishing platform. PS - be careful with marriage advice from Clayton.
