  1. Same here on Navionics; some days I could just use it and not need to turn on my sonar.
  2. Scratching out your scratches?
  3. A pretty good bit, but I’d leave the scratches vs trying to sand them out. Big difference in a lake boat in Florida and a river boat in TN/NC/VA. You’d spend three days sanding for every three hours fishing.
  4. You might look at 3M 5200 Marine Sealant or one of their less permanent options. I know for a fact that 5200 works great at holding things together
  5. That’s pretty cool stuff in a pretty boat on a pretty lake. I will not call you pretty, but glad you got out for some AJ time. Love the growl of that 200…
  6. I grew up in Memphis in the 80’s and early 90’s. My dad owned a liquor store near the Mall of Memphis, which was nicknamed the Mall of Murder (it has its own Wikipedia page). It’s the same as it ever was. I used to walk to the mall from my dad’s store to play video games or see a movie. I never had a problem. That said, I wouldn’t do it at night. I live in Charlotte now and there’s places here I stay out of unless there’s a reason, but it’s nowhere near what the bad parts of Memphis or DC were like. It’s something that every place has, and has had, and will have , forever. There is no Eutopia. The best you can do is be a good person, teach you and yours to be good people, and help where you can with social programs.
  7. Generally white oaks have rounded lines on the leaves and larger acorns. Red oak leaves are pointed and they have smaller acorns, sometimes down to pea sized.
  8. Also - it’s end of summer. I thought the fishing was terrible this year but the last couple days have been fantastic. Good days are soon…
  9. I think I’m getting dumber, but I can’t look away…
  10. There’s a lot of anecdotes and just plain inaccurate info in here so far…keep it going! Who hates recycling?
  11. +1 on the Celilo if you’re just wanting a solid panfish rod for a lower price point.
  12. It looks like it’s just supposed to augment your paddling/peddling to me… That’s a tremendous amount of coin for what amounts to a push.
  13. I use 4 lb CXX on some smaller spinning reels with really good results. It is a very tough line for 4lb test.
  14. If you play with it too much, you’ll break it…
  15. Man that’s a pretty boat!
  16. I have them but my boat is nowhere near that big. Easy install and they’ve worked fantastic for me - no problem getting them and the hardware in the right size either - great company. They are a little more slick than carpeted bunks on steeper ramps though, just something to be aware of.
  17. Box fell off a barge or train and the Toon is pushing it to the ramp and a trailer.
  18. Soooo… that’s a no? ?
  19. There’s no getting them out of the Catawba chain at this point. They’re fun to catch and make great catfish bait and raptor chow.
  20. Speaking of jerkbaits - I like the OG Rapala minnow in current- cross stream to quartering down stream. Swim(ng) it by likely holding spots.
  21. I’m with them on the 10 or 15 lb braid. It’s just more versatile and easier handling on a spinning reel than mono.
  22. Yeah he should just get a great cart and learn to appreciate the 12, but I don’t think that’s where we’re going ?
  23. Ducks, bats on flies, cormorant and ospreys taking shots at swim baits… they are the WORST
  24. Daaaang…I’m about to catch a daily special in your neck of the woods at Littons.
