  1. Hey hey hey now - no need to come after our version of American English. Our food is better too
  2. Cut bait or chicken is fine - it more depends on where you’re fishing and what species of cats. Live or fresh cut for flatheads around cover/structure and cut or chicken around structure or bait for blues and channels.
  3. We didn’t have a dog for about two weeks each time one passes. It’s just a giant hole without one there. We have a couple cats too but they’re not the same. This is the latest - she’s got a lot of will…
  4. The Wilderness System cart that @A-Jay recommends is the best out there for anything longer than 100 yards. It’s a great cart.
  5. If you’re going to be doing a lot of driving where’s there’s pieces of metal, bring some tire slime, some plug kits l, and something to air them back up with. Working around New Orleans after Katrina we did it that way because it could be one, it could be all four but it was going to happen. There was stuff everywhere and you never knew what you were driving over.
  6. Can you get to them to drill them out?
  7. Sawzall, and about three-four Miller Lites should do it.
  8. So if you actually look, even with the dozen or so that caught fire due to once in a lifetime flooding from a hurricane, EVs catch fire about one tenth the amount that gasoline cars do even without a biblical storm. The drain on the grid is negligible and a significant percent would be charged at night, when the grid has more available capacity anyway. Not perfect, not completely developed to the level of gasoline engines, and not right for everyone, but let’s try to stick to facts.
  9. What ?!? You can’t fish out if that tiny orange thing?!?? love it!
  10. Chateau St Michelle Columbia River Cabernet has been my inexpensive go-to for a while. It is not a huge oaky California cab. It is softer and drinkable and fantastic with almost anything grilled or chocolate
  11. Not enough time now…. They beat us up and down the field from the jump.
  12. Still plenty of time.
  13. This was actually Lake Menderchuck… @A-Jay is just trying to throw you off. It was off the southwest part of the northeast shore fishing shallow with a deep crank on a Carolina rig for walleye…
  14. Paul Harvey stayed at a hotel I was working at - there’s no mistaking that voice.
  15. News is still news. Media is not news; media is a business and a very profitable one at that. The different reporting referenced above is media. The fact that a person attacked Pelosi’s husband with a hammer is news, and despicable at that. Different medias from dark corners to large corporate outlets produce narratives on news to fit their demographic and bring viewers which then bring money. The more polarized it is, the closer you are to 50% of the money. Rinse and repeat.
  16. Oh boy, in no particular order: bike handlebars, grill lighter, 1 lb of Twizzlers + 1 lb of M&Ms + a whole loaf of bread (dog was still standing on the counter and couldn’t get down after this exploit), the heels of a brand new pair of climbing shoes, a dozen night crawlers, various kitchen towels, rat poison, a night mask, and a ribeye. Labs are too smart and complete idiots all at the same time. Also - the thanksgiving turkey carcass, my dryer vent, and various parts of my AC compressor
  17. We score a lot of points. And our defense has really been coming on. There’s a whole different confidence to this team, and Herndon Hooker looks absolutely unflappable.
  18. They’re tools, just like boats. Clearly it’s not a tool you use for however you fish.
  19. We used to have one of the Mad River canoes you could buy at Dicks. 14 fter I think. We paddled that thing all over the Potomac around DC. TERRIBLE primary stability but great secondary. You really had to do something stupid to put a gunnel under water. The lack of primary stability led to multiple instances of me getting a wet arse while trying to board at various launches - it would tilt then slide away from you if that first foot wasn’t centered or far side. Nothing like a day of paddling with soggy muddy shorts.
  20. Eh, it was a hybrid sit-in and I had a spray skirt. I could Eskimo roll it. I could…I didn’t say I liked it. You could paddle up river right and sit in the slack water while the screws were turning, if something pulled you into the fast water you just rode it downstream until you eddy’d out. Great place to fish though
  21. I caught one over 30 below Ft Loudon dam when I was a college kid in a kayak. It towed me about a mile downriver once it drug me into the current. I was a smaller kid in a smaller kayak back then…
  22. I mean… that pretty expensive but that’s a nice glitter sled.
  23. With that lead you don’t need any help casting it on a spinning rod, especially once they’re wet.
  24. Eggs are fine, but eat 1 or 2 not 6 or 7. Putting down your fork quickest, easiest, and most effective workout to lose weight and get overall healthier.
  25. Eat food as close to the form it grew in. Lean meat and vegetables, and cheese should not be a ‘sauce’. We’re not all going to look like @A-Jay but we can at least we can give our circulatory systems a break.
