  1. Looking at that I think what you’re proposing is a lot of work depending on where the leak is. If it’s one of the through bolts or rivets, I would just deal with that bolt/river with something like gluvit or a sealing adhesive. My free advice comes with a 100% money back guarantee. Where’s the leak?
  2. +1 on both the G2 and Mattlure bluegill and baby bluegill. MS Slammer in whatever size you feel comfortable with won’t hurt your wallet too much and catches fish of all sizes. I have min, 7” and 9” and they’re all great.
  3. Drug my teenager out of bed this morning at 5 AM to make some &%#ing memories if it kills me… Great big Mountain Island Lake chunked donkey to end the day. It drug our little tin all over the place.
  4. That looks like a barfed up dried out small bluegill.
  5. When you appreciate every second of the now because you know what the past is and the future will be you really love the gift of the present.
  6. You have to ask yourself: 1. Is this baby mine? ‘No’ - Don’t go to the shower. ’Yes’ - You’re going to need a bigger decision tree. And scotch.
  7. You could also just tie a knot in a piece of weed eater twine and stick that in the pee hole. The knot will keep it from going too far in and the memory of the twine should hold it in we’ll enough but let it get blown out if you forget.
  8. That’s fantastic news!
  9. I lost my dad about 8 years ago. It is what I would imagine losing a leg is like. You are off balance for a long time, and it’s not a matter of getting back to normal; it’s a matter of re-establishing what normal is. What you are going through is terribly hard, but it is normal. Emotional healing is very hard, and it’s not always apparent when it’s good or when it’s still raw. Talking about it is good, so you’re on the right track. Sometimes it’s one day at a time, sometimes it’s one hour or minute at a time. It doesn’t matter as long as you keep moving it forward.
  10. A couple sparkling waters and some mixed nuts and dried fruit. Amounts are commensurate with how long I’ll be out. Sometimes I’ll have a shot of espresso in there too for a mid morning pick up.
  11. You guys need to pull it together and fish when you can fish. Bring water. Wade. Swim. Take a legal amount of clothes off. Whatever you gotta do to git-r-dun!
  12. That post made my morning - I used to do the same thing, back when Jerry Lawler and Jimmy Hart were local.
  13. Our no-deadly-force problem is a big fat doe and fawn that eat the tops off our pollinator garden as it grows. They love the buds. The mom just sat there and looked at us as we pulled up the driveway last night - I could almost touch her from the driver side window. @TnRiver46 will Mole traps work on Voles or am I going to have to resort to weasels?
  14. Hey @A-Jay - What’s the best placement for mole traps. I now have at least one that took out three beauty berry bushes like they were electrocuted.
  15. I have a story on here somewhere, the short of it is I was in my kayak 20 or so years ago with a flip phone. Went to flip it to answer a call and flipped it right out of my hand, off the gunnel and into the water. Big quick reach to try to grab it dislodged my sunglasses from the top of my hat where I put them to see the phone and into the drink. The phone worked for as far down as I could see it…
  16. In a small vessel it’s almost never leaks; it’s getting swamped by a rogue wave or other boater and/or having your propulsion die. That vessel still isn’t one I’d take out of a sheltered waterway.
  17. @RRocket - I have a very similar set up, with some of the same plastics- what are you using for hooks/weights? I use mostly z-man Ned heads for everything from trick worms to swim baits to actual Ned’s.
  18. https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/06/us/charles-gregory-missing-st-augustine/index.html Good outcome thanks to the Coast Guard…The boat was still floating great even though it was swamped. I wonder if he didn’t have a motor let go or something that left him drifting.
  19. Lift and reel real smoooth - especially with the smaller and in some cases circle hooks. If the hook catches where it’s supposed to, they’re usually pretty well pinned. With the small hook though, sometimes the just don’t get a good bite in the upper jaw and they pull out. After that it’s just keeping steady appropriate pressure on them.
  20. I think it’s air that makes you ornery…?
  21. Come back to Makers Mark after you’ve had a few others. It’s actually an easy drinker. Not everyone’s cup of tea though. Jack Daniel’s tends to encourage similar emotions.
  22. Initially I would say why get started drinking if you don’t like anything? It’s cheaper and healthier to abstain. Now with that out of the way, I like mine with one big ice cube. Woodford is a great suggestion. Elijah Craig Small Batch is another one that’s fairly easy to find. Michtner’s is another that won’t break the bank and is easy on the palate. There’s zero shame in a little ice or a splash of water and it helps open up the bourbon, even the trendy spendy ones.
  23. Beahahaha!! I’m sitting here planning through fishing tomorrow AM and buzzing the yard after…thinking maybe the yard can wait til mid-week…
  24. Actually that jogged my mind. I think Panera is the most overrated, overpriced place I’ve ever been, and that was well pre-Covid issues.
  25. I agree with airship on everything but I still have both. My boat is similar to yours but with a 20 hp. The boat gets way more use.
