  1. @Woody B - we had an overall warmer winter last year with a couple severe cold snaps. I catfished ever couple weeks Jan-Mar and barely needed a coat.
  2. I can’t remember if it was here or TN but in one or the other you were charged more of a fee online for a digital license than if you got it in person somewhere. That’s the one that made me question my sanity.
  3. They do have to pay the person that’s putting your information in and handing you the license…so you either pay a little fee or they add it to the cost of your bait and tackle. No free lunch, people.
  4. I grew up in Memphis where there was only one sheet of ice and it was in the Mall of Murder, so no hockey for me. Fast forward 30 years and my son dropped baseball to play hockey year round. I don’t completely understand everything but the games are fun and traveling on the weekends has been great the last few years. Although someone did suggest an outdoor tourney in Buffalo in January this year, so maybe they’re all crazy..,
  5. Dude! That is a nice sack of specks!
  6. I saw the leaves on the trees and how young you looked too late to pull the post back… FTR - Potomac smallmouth will definitely eat Hudds. As will much larger stripers and blue cats in the same areas. But Magdrafts have a much better hookup rate.
  7. Wait… @A-Jay is that an old pic or is winter officially cancelled in Michigan?
  8. I miss hybrid stripers above the dam on Ft Loudon/Tellico and real stripers below it. I also miss trout on cool, foggy mornings on the Clinch River below Norris. Eastern Tennessee is truly heaven.
  9. Yeah like he said… I use rodbreaker.me
  10. @gimruis In gridiron football, a muffed punt is defined as "touching of the ball prior to possessing the ball.” A muffed punt occurs when there is an "uncontrolled touch" of the football by a player on the returning team after it is punted…just saying. Not that it matters… Same result either way.
  11. That’s a veteran it fan right there - he knows crushing disappointment is coming even though they look like winners through most of the game… Honestly I felt like SF was on the wrong end of some bad bounces and strange occurrences- missed PAT, a McAffrey fumble, a blown Achilles while coming off the sideline, and that punt muff. That’s a ton of big things going KC’s way. Mahomes doesn’t need much extra help.
  12. In the ‘cheap but easy’ addition to your stowed dry clothes, throw in some of the chemical hand warmers in their original packaging. Tucking those in all the pockets of whatever you’re putting on can really help you get/stay warm if you are far from the truck or home.
  13. With something like the Cl8 Baby Possum, I keep the stock hooks and fish it on 15 or 17 lb CXX. I have used 20 lb but just didn’t feel like it was needed. The stock hooks are large and high quality and in no way dampen the action of the bait. I think them clicking against the side of the bait may even enhance it. So my summary opinion would be to leave baits that size alone - they are not finesse applications where super detail matters (arguably). They are displacement draws.
  14. I like Yozuri but it does have some memory. It is also very very strong stuff so the highest lb test I use it in anymore is 8 i think. I really like Suffix ProMix for an inexpensive mono. It handles great.
  15. Campbell may be trying too hard - I get it if it’s 4th and 1 on the edge of FG range but those were two makeable kicks. WRs have dropped a few balls and then that fumble… the wheels on the bus have caught 🔥
  16. KICK THE FIELD GOAL FOR PETE’s SAKE
  17. That did seem to be the exact moment they turned back into Detroit…
  18. I wouldn’t count your chickens juuuuust yet… Detroit keeps dropping interceptions I meeeaaan….amiright?
  19. Well Taylor’s b-friend is having his way with the Raven’s defense so far.
  20. Armchair Experts is an easy one to listen to. Also The Lazarus Heist is another good one - great story, real life, and you might learn something.
  21. State Farm for me. It is bundled with my home and auto and costs about $7 per month. Our local agent has been great through a few home/auto incidents and happily talks through any questions. I would say it’s like mechanics - find one you trust and hold onto them.
  22. @bulldog1935 That was back in the days of having two hours to fish before the baby woke up and if you woke the baby getting out of the townhouse with your screwing (not fishing) 8 ft rods you weren’t going fishing, you were taking care of the baby. I rolled light and smooth. (I also rolled on only a few hours of sleep so planning well and coordinated movement wasn’t a strong suit). 😀
  23. Standing under a bridge near DC fishing a swim bait and hit the bridge overhead with a zealous cast. Broke the bait and irreparable backlash. Day. Over. Whomp whoooomp. stuff happens
  24. We do a bunch of scratch offs in our stockings for Christmas. Why? Because it’s fun Christmas morning. Hope springs eternal…
