  1. Very nice bud...!
  2. Couple of my bluegill's I dug up.....
  3. I would imagine they have a turner with clip's that you can clip on the tail hook hanger while it's turning.. I use holder's on both end's of my bait's while turning but if for some reason I run into a situation like that I added some strong alligator clip's on it so I can just hook one end of the bait and let her go....
  4. What part of Florida are you fishing? I'm in N. Central Florida (ocala area) and most of the lake's and river's here are full of grass, log's, and dirty water. My most productive (for bigger fish) color has been a bluegill color on either a rapala dt6 or trap. I'll fish them around wood and grass, preferrably about 6-10ft deep. My second and third color's would be a golden shiner and a sliver shad, they work great when fish are schoolling and will certainly get you some numbers. Can't help you out much on clear lake's ( I try not to fish them when I can) If I have to though I will fish the old f-11 rapala in the gold color or finesse junk....! lol. Caught both of these on a bluegill colored trap, 20 min apart....
  5. Awesome man!!!
  6. Man to ask is BigM (Marty). He's one of the best wooden bait maker's out there.
  7. That 22 shell was a good idea! I've tried messing with the foil and reflective tape. Personally I'll stick with the airbrush. Bait's look good though.
  8. BIG WORMS, BIG WEIGHT, BRUSH PILES!!! Always work's here! Try some elgrandelures.com mexican rattlers. Big weight to keep it on the bottom and just drag through the brush. Caught some of my biggest fish on these worm's at night on brush.
  9. lol... I know exactly what you mean!!! lol
  10. Createx is probably the safest! Wasco wildlife paint's are also good. I don't have a supplier near and I cant really tell what the color's look like from their website so I stick with createx. If you go with lacquer paint's make sure your wearing a respirator and that you have the (explosive proof, lol) vacuum system....
  11. Very nice Hoist...!
  12. BAITMONKEY STRIKES AGAIN!!! LOL
  13. Great first try!!! Go out and catch something on them and I'll bet a new airbrush might be in your future...!!! ;D
  14. If you want a good thin clearcoat try Dick Nites fisherman's lure coat. I tell ya, I've got some really beat up trap's that I've thought about clearcoating them just as they are. Fish seem to really like the beat up cranks better some times....! lol
  15. I've already tried my hand at it and I think I'll leave the building to you BIG! I guess if you get it down it's a little easier but I spent about a week trying to make my 3 joint golden shiner just right only to find out when I actually used it that the joint's sounded like someone smacking metal together...! lol. You do make some killer cranks though. Keep um' coming... I'll stick with the painting for now...
