  1. NS jigs catch me alot of fish. But I have never seen a panfish of any sorts in my neck of the Woods with those colors. Green and or gray with dark orange bellies. That's what the sunnies look in my lakes. Not saying it won't work because I know y'all are successful with them. I just have to have that initial visual confidence in a bait color before I would ever think of trying. Now Kentucky blue grass and bama craw, those produce very well for me. Might grab a couple new gill flip and swims with my next order just to try based on yalls results.
  2. Saving private Ryan is my favorite. Tigerland is a good one, so is full metal jacket and zero dark thirty.
  3. That is AWESOME!! Man That is a TROPHY for a man cave right there brutha!!
  4. KVD sign that crank in your Avatar?
  5. met John Travolta at P.F Changs in Grapevine a few years ago. My wife was working there at the time and I was going to pick her up along with some to go food around 9:30 at night. DFW airport is right accross the highway and Travolta was in town on some flying exercise. I went inside to grab the food and He was standing there with 2 other men just hanging out. My wife told me he had forgot his credit card earlier and came back to get it. While my wife was getting it from the safe, I was sitting there with our son who was about 10 months at the time. Travolta walked up and stuck his arms out, gesturing that he wanted to hold my son. I stared at him for a minute and thought to myself, normally If I dont know you, you aint even touching my kid. But this IS TRAVOLTA, I mean whats he going to do? So I handed him my son and talked with him for a good 15 minutes while he played and made my son laugh. He was extremely laid back and friendly. Asked how I was doing and everything. It was shortly after he had lost his son Jet, and he had his twins on the way. He offered to take a picture with us after my wife gave him back his credit card. I didnt bother to ask because Im sure he gets hounded all the time and I didnt want to be "that guy". I will see if I can find the pic of him, my son and I. Other than that I have met Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Clint Black and Charlie Pride. All were at Billy Bobs back when my Dad used to play there. EDIT: Found the pic-
  6. How many of yall use these? What is your favorite size and color? Favorite time to fish them? Rigging- weightless or with a swimbait hook? Never really paid any attention to them until I saw an underwater vid on Youtube. They have some incredible action!
  7. Rahr and sons Texas red, shiner bock, miller high life, guinness, modelo especial, corona, landshark, Estella artois. I can go on forever. I love beer. Most of the time its shiner or corona though.

  9. My brother and I purposely ingested some pot when we were teenagers. I handed him a milk bone and told him it was an ASPCA edition ritz cracker. he liked it until I told him what it was. I laughed for a solid 20 minutes lol.
  10. That color has put more fish in the boat for me than any other. Catch sandies like CRAZY when we run up on a school and take em home for dinner with that color.
  11. I prefer SK's body design, but they both work when a lipless crank is needed. I mainly fish the Red eye shad because I love SK lures so I support them. In spring when the Lipless crank bite is on fire, my father in law will throw a Rattle trap in chrome/ blue and I will throw a Red eye shad in east Texas special. We both catch the same.
  12. What size are yall using mainly? Kind of want to grab a pack now....
  13. Booyah jigs. Less than 0 confidence in them. Fished them for one day and hated every second of it. I have no real reason I guess other than they are just visually unappealing and I hate the rattle collars. The a rig. Anything rapala.
  14. where was it that you saw this? I recall recently seeing it as well lol.
  15. Handed my wife my phone and watched her fall for it too lol. Needed that laugh.
  16. The spots I plan on fishing are spots that I usually hit with jigs and T rigged worms. Last year I fished a couple spots to death with those 2. I know the fish are there, I want to be able to go after them with a much more subtle finesse presentation this year if they are finicky or used to seeing the same things. I already the equipment, 6' m/f spinning setup with 6 lbs line. to me, finesse is fishing slow lightweight lures on light gear. I'm more interested in what works for everyone when fishing finesse style.
  17. One of my goals this year is to work hard on finesse fishing. I SUCK at fishing slow. I have fished the shake2 before but not what you would call "finesse". I used the 1/2 oz and fished it hard with a big worm. I picked up some in 1/8 oz and 3/16 oz along with a few other things from TW. What are yalls favorite finesse baits or favorite baits to rig on a shakey head?
  18. It all depends on the spot of course, but I like a spinnerbait if the season is correct. To be honest though I usually start out with a T rigged worm when I'm not on the boat. If there is cover or structure that I have access to fish, I will flip it to death with a jig and them with a soft plastic like a pit boss. After that I will toss that worm around and work the bottom near the structure slowly.
  19. I love em also. One of the few sb's I use.
  20. And don't quote me on 60. I didn't have a measuring stick lol. I can confidently say I'm in the ballpark though. On a calm day or with wind in my favor, no problem.
  21. its not hard with a 2.5 and a rod that loads up good. I use a 7 ft m/f , 10 lbs yo zuri and a BPS PQ. And yeah I use very little tension if any on all setups.
  22. I understand that. Just wasn't sure if he was aware they do not run in a straight line upon retrieval. Totally understand your problem now though Teal. I sent 2 back to SK a few months ago because of that and they made it right.
  23. I was wondering the same thing. I fish 1 & 2.5's almost year around with great success. I have never lost a fish on this bait either. Hauled in my 6.2 PB on a 60 yard cast. She hit it right when I started kicking up rocks and the hooks stayed buttoned up all 55 yards back to the boat. To each their own though.
