  1. The comfort of a low pro to a round in my opinion is incomparable. You can palm them so much better plus, they look cool 8-).
  2. REVO STX 157.99$ on Ebay, brand new in the box.
  3. The Texas rigged worm is one of the most versatile lures. Throw it anywhere you want. When i fish it i cast it out and then strip off a few lengths of line to make sure it hits the bottom. Then i let it sit for a good 3-5 seconds and reel up the slack. I then raise my rod tip up 3 or 4 times and let it fall on slack line to the bottom, this is when you should pay the most attention is on the fall because this is where most of your hits will come from. Again let the worm sit on the bottom for a few more seconds and repeat.
  4. What did you catch her on? . Congrats on being a father!
  5. Texas is hot as well .
  6. Revo S,SX or STX, you cannot go wrong with any of them. Dont own a Curado but i hear good things.
  7. I refused to be the first one to make that reference :-X.
  8. Just seeing those things makes me sick. :'(, want some cries with that waaburger?
  9. x2 there is also the Abu Garcia Revo S for 109$ on *** http://www.***.com/descpageRLCABUGAR-AGRS.html Or you can find a cheaper one on Ebay brand new. Either way i think you will be happy.
  10. Holy crap!
  11. Revo STX 157.99$ brand new in the box on Ebay!
  12. Thats an awesome picture.
  13. For 150$ there are a few options. I think your best option would be to go on Ebay right now, they have the Abu Garcia Revo STX for around 157.99$ brand new in the box that you can buy immediately, or you might find a cheaper one bidding. Not only is that a good price but that is an outstanding reel. If your willing to spend 170$ you can get a Shimano Curado from Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas. I would go with the STX personally. As for a rod it depends on what your going to be using it for and how much your willing to spend on it. If your looking for a nice "all around rod" i would go with a 6'6'' or 7' MH/F. If you post back with what kind of rod your looking for im sure alot more suggestions can be made.
  14. Chances are you have all the brakes on which is why. Take off all but 2 and it will help a ton.
  15. Boy, did I learn that the hard way. The grass may be greener on the other side, but you still have to mow it. And mowing always sucks, even on a big riding mower. LOL, This may be one of the greatest statements ever made! x2 LOL
  16. I'm curious what is the most liked/disliked brand in the forums as far as reels go. Personally i stick with Shimano and Abu Garcia.
  17. I'll have to tell my Revo Ss to stop handling light baits well. They cast 1/4 baits as well as my SCs, SXs and STXs. They must not have known they weren't suposed to do that. x2
  18. Compre 100% IMO. I have the 7' M/XF and i love it.
  19. I voted both righty although it feels just as comfortable on a spinning rig with my left. Baitcasting im an exclusive righty.
  20. When i first started i thought it was ridiculous to have more than 1 or 2 rod/reels. Now i think its ridiculous to have less than 2. I use the following 6'6'' MH/F Baitcaster- T rigs, spinner/buzzbaits 6'6'' MH/M Baitcaster- treble hooks 7'' MH/F Baitcaster- jigs 7''M/F Spinning- SOME weightless plastics, tubes, shaky head rigs. I would like to have a rod for flippin and pitchin but i don't have much heavy cover where i usually fish so there is no need for one at this moment. Beware, once you start buying them you will not be able stop...... Trust me.
  21. lol. I got out of school tuesday...and on wed. I started work. It stinks having to go straight into work without a break, but I need the money. Look forward to that for the next 40 years of your life... and the more you make the more you spend! You aint lyin!
  22. My buddy used to work for Toyota and he got his wife into an 08 Camry. I agree 100% on everything you said especially the smooth part, its extremely smooth. I would call it the closest thing to a "non luxury" vehicle you can buy.
  23. I have been looking at the 683c 6'8''mh/ef. Any feedback on this rod or powell rods in general would be greatly appreciated.
