  1. I recently started a job at an automotive/ state inspection garage. The place has been here for years but things seem to be at a dead stop. The owner is getting frustrated due to the lack of business and is looking for ways to get our name out there. I have been thinking and have come up with a few ideas but i would like some more. If anyone has any ideas at all for a good marketing scheme it would be greatly appreciated. Just something to get the name out that we do anything you need done and more.
  2. I ditched the crutches last week :-/. I cant afford to miss work, I have an incredible opportunity to learn things that I have wanted to do for so long and I don't want to miss out. Plus I actually love going to work every single day. I try not to over do anything and take it as easy as I can so I think I'll be ok.
  3. Chuck Norris is so fast he can run around the world and punch himself in the back of the head. Chuck Norris does not sleep, he waits. One of my favorites: If you have 5 dollars and Chuck has 5 dollars he has more money than you. Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding.
  4. Hands down the Cavitron is EVERYONE'S favorite Buzzbait. If they disagree they are liars.
  5. ^ New Shimano spokeswoman :.
  6. Same here. Hard to be the UPS guy with busted feet. 8-) Hard to be in automotive training with busted feet......
  7. Hopefully that wont be the case with me. I need my ankle in full working order!
  8. "Wrong hole"
  9. Because the doc prescribed me Lortabs 8-). I got bumped playing basketball Sunday night and my left foot landed on the drop off between Court and grass, theres about a 1 1/2" difference in height, SNAP! I have never broken a single bone in my body but when I landed I instantly said "yep.....broke my ankle". One purple/blue/black ankle and one bottle of Lortabs and im a happy camper .
  10. Sadly I learned this the hard way :-/. Im assuming by this post you did also?
  11. http://www.break.com/index/i-think-he-can-dance.html?mrr=we How?
  12. I did......
  13. Yeah... Why was your car not secured?? :-? ;D I knew this would come from somebody LOL. Because if you take off correctly the Dyno wheels will turn with the vehicle wheels at a steady pace. I didnt think that would happen :-[. If im doing an actual inspection I always chock the wheels and strap it down and put in the sway bars.
  14. UPDATE! I ran off the Dyno track and into a very expensive fan and headlight tester at work today driving a standard 92 Chevy. My tech told me that I would be fine on the Dyno since its basically a treadmill for cars......Boy was he wrong. I popped the clutch on accident and at about 4500 rpms and SKKKRRRRR!!!!!!!! Straight into the giant fan and headlight testing machine. Luckily nobody got mad, it was actually quite funny until I had to take apart and fix everything I had just ran into. Luckily I hit the brake quick enough or I would be fixing a wall. He took me out of the bay with it and showed me what I thought i already knew. I can honestly say that I now know how to drive one correctly :-[.
  15. I was forced to learn to drive a standard due to my new job and boy was i missing out! My buddy has a little 4 cylinder Pontiac that he taught me on today. I knew the motions in my head and was confident, just needed to test my skills. I actually did very well considering i have never even drove one before. The first few times it was like second nature then it started getting rough. I would either peel out or stall out. Apparently somebody didn't like the fact that we were in a closed parking lot away from traffic practicing so they decided to call the Police. The cop was kind of a hee haw at first and then once he figured out we weren't just doing donuts he eased up and actually gave me some advice. I now want a standard transmission vehicle 8-). Man that was fun!
  16. I LOVE GOOGLE! NFL.com Youtube Wikipedia BassResource Dodgetalk.com por........nevermind :
  17. It went up 20 cents in less than 24 hours here......
  18. In my opinion green would be your best bet in most water situations. Only if the water is crystal clear would I use clear. I dont even have a clear spool, I use Yo Zuri Hybrid 8# and 12# green for everything.
  19. Brand name equipment has its name not because every one buys it. Everyone buys it because it has always produced what the consumer wants out of it. Like Shimano for example, it is the most popular fishing reel because it is one of the most reliable and best performing reels. So saying brand names don't matter is false. I think some people refuse to buy brand name equipment because they feel you dont have to pay top dollar for good equipment, and you dont have too, but i will say i agree 100% with the saying YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
  20. x2 x3, HOWEVER HE DID NOT ASK ABOUT SHIMANO REELS. The choices were BPS, Cabelas or Gander Mountain. I have never used Gander Mountain or Cabelas but Muddy uses Cabelas Prodigy reels exclusively and loves them. I have casted the Johnny Morris Elite a few times and it felt good. I think house brand reels are limited to performance because they are made cheaper, thats why i stick with Shimano Or Abu Garcia. Muddy will let you know about the Cabelas reels.
  21. Soulshine is one of my favorites.
  22. A back up? That's my favorite reel that I own. Give it some playing time, im sure you will grow to appreciate it.
