  1. They had some on a rack in front of the fishing section at academy for 1.29 each. I used them all year last year and they produced very well for me. One day in mid october after a front and some rain blew through we went out and landed 20+ on the chrome and black cotton cordell's with no problems. I grabbed the last 6 off the rack. Plus the sandies eat them up like CRAZY where i fish and we have a huge fish fry.
  2. I recently have started using the 7" rage tail anacondas and i havent picked up another worm other than a weightless senko. The weight size will depend on water depth. General size is a 1/4 oz but anything under 5 ft i will throw an 1/8 oz bullet weight. I give it 2 pops and let it sink and sit and then repeat. The tail on the anacondas have incredible action. I have bags of zoom mag 2 worms and berkley power worms that i bought and havent opened yet because i have been doing so well on the anacondas i dont see the need to throw anything else at this time. Try senkos. They are amazing plastics. I would deffinitely keep them weightless either t rigged or wacky rigged, that way it doesnt kill the lures natural "wiggle". The good (and bad) thing about plastics is there are so many to choose from so just grab some worms and creature baits that catch your eye and throw em on an ewg hook with a weight according to the water depth and put them in the water. hop them, swim them, twitch them. Just make them come alive and let the fish tell you what they want.
  3. Anyone successfull with these besides Chris Lane? I havent seen them until watching the classic and i like the profile. I am just wondering how much movement the appendages have?
  4. Thats exactly what i plan on doing.
  5. I will save this for about 13? 14? years from now. Who knows, by the time my daughter is "older" dating may be happening sooner than it is now. Unless i can help it. If she is as cute in 13 years as she is now im gonna have some problems.......
  6. Is all i can fit!! Between all of our gear and tackle we get 6 setups between my father in law and myself. It drives me insane because i like to have every option available to me at all times when fishing and when i can only fit 3 i have to combine my presentations and i end up throwing something on a rod and reel im not 100% happy with. But i manage. 7 MH/F bc for t rigged plastics of any kind. 6'6" MH/F bc for spinnerbaits. And my 3rd is where it gets comlicated. I want a rod for weightless plastics/ soft jerkbaits or light hard jerkbaits but i cant seem to find the right rod and reel for that. If i use spinning it doesnt work with the jerkbaits, if i go 7 ft for my weightless plastics it hurts me when throwing jerkbaits cause its not easy with a longer rod. I think im going to try and find a 6'8" or 6'9" M/F baitcast setup and be done with it. Do yall have to combine setups, if so, how does it work out for yall?
  7. plastics are good morning to night winter to summer and shallow to deep waters. Where you fish determines what type of plastic you can throw. If you want to cover a little bit of water try throwing something you can swim our hop. For me this is a soft type jerk bait like a fluke our for deeper water I like the rage tail space monkey with a swim pause swim pause technique. For slower presentations and fishing a particular spot with a Texas rig I like Senkos. Everyone will vouch for those they're almost a must have. I also love rage tail anacondas and Thumpers and craws. Colors will depends on where you fish. I suggest you read through the Senko sticky thread at the top of this section of the forum. Good luck!
  8. 1. Rage tail plastic ( 7” anaconda, craw, space monkey) 2. Senko 3. Fluke 4. Brush hog ( baby or not)
  9. What are your best colors for staind water? I usually keep it simple and throw a watermelon variation. anyone use green pumpkin in staind water with success?
  10. Plan on throwing these in shallow water during the spawn. What is yalls preffered presentation for this?Weightless is what im hearing the most but will i have a problem keeping the bait down while im working it? What about a light keel weighted hook? I just dont want to add weight and kill the presentation. How do yall throw these and what are your ideal conditions and water depth?
  11. Thanks big o! When you say fish it senko style, just raise it and let it fall?
  12. Usually they are used for swimbaits, correct? Im gonna try throwing my rage craws and space monkeys on a keel weighted hook for a different approach, yall try this? or try it with any other rage product?
  13. Do yall prefer weightless on most plastics or is it different for each bait? I like to go weightless as often as possible but when i need to have some weight i hate having to re tie. Are there sinkers i can get where i wouldnt have to re tie a t rig?
  14. What are your top 3 when it comes to soft plastics? Mine are senkos, brush hogs and zoom mag 2 worms. All in either a watermelon pumpkin red Shad or June bug color.
  15. Mine has beefed up as well. All new rod and reels from shimano abu garcia pflueger and quantum. Spinning and casting. Tons of new lures as well.
  16. I have not really used them in the past but as the spawn approaches and i am getting all my tackle in order I plan on throwing everything this year. What are yalls favorites?
  17. Also, could the bail have anything to do with it?
  18. The retaining clip is the thin ring that sits on top of the washers under the drag knob? Cause i am deffinitely missing it. The schematic you sent me does not show the drag washers. Like you said they just sell the spool assembly. Can i purchase this directly from you or Shimano? I am fairly confident that the problem lies within the spool assembly mainly the washers and retaining clip.
  19. The pic is of a different reel. I was just showing the part that is missing so it was better understood what i was trying to explain. I am speaking with him via email. Thanks!
  20. Thank you RW for the link. I am getting all the help i need from delawarevalleytackle!
  21. My Shimano Sedona has not been working right for a while and its just been sittin in my garage cause i havent dont anything with it yet. I was taking it apart to see if i could figure somethin out and when i took the spool off i noticed that it is missing a metal ring(?) that goes inside the spool which you can see in this pic i took of another reel i have that has the ring(?) in place. My reel acts fine until i get a lure in the water and start to reel in. It's like im reeling in a boat from the bottom of the lake when im retrieving the lure. Could this missing part cause this? Thanks guys!
  22. I am looking for a L setup and so far all i can find are 2 piece L rods. I have never fished with a 2 piece rod, are there any distinct problems or disadvantages that come with a 2 piece?
  23. Am I the only one who uses Trilene XL still? I have never had a problem with it. My knots are always tight and strong, never have broke my line on a fish or structure. Never have memory problems either. What line do you use and why?
  24. Sir, bro, broseph, brochacho, brutha, brutha man, my friend, dude, big dog, man. Thats about it for me. Most of the time is hey bro or hey man.
