  1. Falcon lake craw is, my favorite by far! They all produce though.
  2. CXX is a copoly? I thought it was just plain old mono. I looked at pline.com and i didnt see anywhere that it said it was a colpoly? Still love cxx either way!
  3. More so with the baby brush hogs. They are good plastics. I keep them as close to weightless as possible, usually an 1/8 Oz bullet unless I'm flipping into cover I will go 1/4 Oz.
  4. I'm assuming were taking one lure for strictly lm bass. It would have to be a 5” Senko.
  5. For the price range I think they are awesome. The tourney special and the graphite series are a steal in my opinion. I have never had a problem with sensitivity or backbone.
  6. Cotton cordel super Spot in chrome/black or chrome/blue. BY FAR my biggest treble hook producer. I caught 40% of my fish Last year on this alone. It has a nice wide wiggle and puts out alot of vibes and doesn't break the bank.
  7. Phone, sharp knife, food if its a long day, plenty of drinks. The usual.
  8. Dont worry man, you can get past it. It sucks in the beginning obviously but it is worth it. I work with respiratory equipment and when i started 3 years ago i started seeing patient after patient and just about every single one of them asked me if i smoked and told me stop. I have a first hand look day in and day out of how hard it is to be on oxygen from smoking for 45 years, and in some cases only a few years. Having to wait on oxygen tanks to get to your DR appointments or having to call me at 2 am because your concentrator stopped working and you cannot breathe. After 6 months into my job i quit. Then would get ticked off or something go wrong or get hectic and start again. I went back and forth for about another 5 months of a week off and 2 days on. Or i would buy a pack smoke 2 and get mad at myself and throw them away only to buy another pack the next day. 1 day i woke up and couldnt seem to catch my breath, figured i would be fine as the day went on i thought nothing of it. I went almost 24 hours without being able to comfortably breathe. That was my wake up call for good. I felt the way my patients felt for just about that whole day and couldnt imagine feeling that for the rest of my life. Havent touched one since and i am so happy i quit. You will start to notice things that you didnt before you quit like the smell of smoke. Walk past someone who is smoking or has been smoking and it stinks so bad, then you think to yourself man i used to smell like that all the time?! My taste buds changed alot too. Not that i necessarily liked or disliked foods, but i can taste them better. Good luck man and DONT GIVE IN!!!! You dont want to have to drag a 5 lbs oxygen tank in a cart behind you while wearing a nasal cannula wherever you go.
  9. I have a set of washer and dryer sitting in the shed i would sell you for cheap but were a ways apart. Good luck on finding a new set! I know learning things the hard way suck sometimes but you gotta learn somehow right?

    Redditors?

    Huh?
  11. I went on tuesday after work and start catching on a 5" smoke pearl with purple flake senko. Immediatley after the first dink i caught and released this woman runs over with her son and starts grilling me on why i threw it back. I told her i dont keep fish unless i fish for crappie or catfish and i wasnt at the time. She told me not to throw it back and to call her over to give to her when i caught another one. I told her no, i fish for fun and i dont want to take away from the place i fish on a regular basis, even though i know it doesnt hurt at times.I just dont keep them. She looked at me like i was crazy and told me it wasnt fair to her. I asked her nicely to move on and stop talking. that did the trick. I dont really mind others too much but when someone asks me for my fish and then continues to argue with me, thats when i get ticked off.
  12. Spinnerbaits are my top producer in ponds by far. Second are super flukes in smoking Shad color and third is either a weightless Texas rigged Senko or a worm like the 7” rage Thumper our a good old 7” green pumpkin power worm. Buzzbaits occasionally as well.
  13. Yes sir.
  14. if i use mono i onyl use 12-14 lbs Trilene XL. has never given me a problem what so ever. For Flouro I only use BPS XPS 14 or 17lbs but that is mainly for jigs and t rigs. For my weightless spinning rig i use 8 lbs Yo Zuri and for my spinnerbait rig i use 12 lbs Yo Zuri hybrid. If i had to use 1 line for an all around combo i would without a doubt use 12 lbs Yo Zuri Hybrid. It has an average breaking strength of 19.3 lbs. You get the smaller diameter line with incredible strength. It is sensitive and very abrasion resistant. It does have a little memory at first but some KVD line and lure conditioner cures that real quick.
  15. Love the hybrid line so i figured the lures have to be of similiar quality, and i was right! If i could afford to have a 10$ bill with treble hooks swimming by all kinds of possible snags under the water i would fish these most of the time. Just a little too pricey for me though. If you havent tried them out and dont mind spending a little extra i would deffinitely give them a shot! Loud rattles and alot of vibration and has a wide wiggle. I also like the colors they offer, alot more natural than most offer.
  16. Its funny you say that. We have a few Krystals around here but i have never eaten at any of them. My father in law and i passed by one about 6 months ago headed to the lake and i mentioned we hadnt eaten yet. He told me we did not have enough TP on the boat so we werent eating there, I figured he just didnt like the place and that was an excuse LOL.
  17. Low end of your budget the Abu garcia pro max is a great reel and i love it at 80$. I would go with the PQ though.
  18. I used to throw 12 lbs xl on a mitchell 300xe back in the day when i had only 1 setup with no problems. Like others have mentioned you may be over filling the spool. Try KVD line and lure to make the line a little more limp. I would suggest going down in line size though and use KVD L&L. Try Yo Zuri hybrid in 6 or 8 lbs. The 6 lbs i believe has a breaking strength of 12 lbs. I use 8 lbs yo zuri on my spinning reels and it works amazing. Especially with the line and lure conditioner.
  19. If you have a budget you can find combos that work at every price level, you just have to look at what your buying and look for sales/ deals on combos. 3 rods is enough like others have mentioned. I only take 3 of the 7 combos i have in my garage. Mainly because of space on the boat with 2 of us in it. If you choose setups correctly you can combine more than 1 presentation to each setup. With my 3 i can comfortably throw jigs, t rigs, anything weightless, spinnerbaits and topwaters. This covers just about everything i throw. Granted you might re tying a few more times than others but once you get used to it it takes no time at all and becomes second nature.
  20. Office space? Nice!Seriously though. I would buy my parents and in laws new houses and vehicles. Help out family members and friends as much as i see fit. Donate to certain charities and research groups. Put a few million in a fund for each of my 2 kids and another account for reserve holding about 10 million. After i did that.......oh MAN! Buy a new truck, boat, and multiple toy cars. New house, all new setups and order 3 of every lure from TW. build my own man garage on the land that i would buy where my new house would be that would house my boat and all of my tackle/ rods and reels. Construct my own 100 acre lake with all kinds of cover and structure and stock it with bass bluegill and crappie. After that i would honestly go to school and get a degree and learn to open and run a business where i could employee friends and family and have something to give to my kids when im gone. An honest and respectable business that is not like the one im in where the top dog profits no matter who gets screwed in the process. Lastly, i would have 10 thousand dollar rolls in a bag and i would randomly hand them out to people/ families that i think need and deserve them. I love giving and helping, i think it would be amazing to just give out money to random people. Tomorrow morning i will get up at 730 in the morning and go to work and make my average american salary and when i finish my work for the day, whether it be at 5 pm or 1 am, i will come home to my wife and kids and be just as happy as if i had 400 million dollars.
  21. Seen him in concert back when my dad used to play billy bobs here in fort worth. Always a good time for some KF!
  22. Just put it in the water and the fish will come. Even the Sunfish were killing them last weekend. Wasnt trying to catch sunfish but they were on it like no other for some reason.
  23. I know just about nothing when it comes to the difference in jigs. I do know i have a ton of rage craws and would love to fish them with a Jig. SO, can yall lay it out for me? Hook me up with a "starter package" if you will. Thanks guys!
  24. Favorite: Pit Boss, i love it in big Texan for flipping into light- moderate cover. Least favorite: all others. I have not tried any other havoc plastic because none of them look appealing to me and i have heard more negative than positive about the smash tube and hawk hawg. The juice worm to me is just a power worm. I am becoming a strike king homer so maybe that persuades my opinions a little
  25. As far as i know there have not been any deaths or anyone with serious injuries. I know that alot of south Dallas has been hit. Lancaster and Desoto mainly. Arlington received the worst and has been declared a disaster area. There are a few other small places that got hit also but like i said as of now no deaths. I worth with medical and respiratory equipment in dallas and surrounding counties so i was all over the place today while this was going on. Sirens were on all day in just ab out every county i was in but i personally never spotted any of the 12 tornados that were reported. I have seen videos of tractor trailers being tossed hundreds of feet in the air, crazy stuff! Only time will tell the total destruction but lets just hope there are no reports of anymore injuries or deaths.
