  1. I couldn't believe I got this ole Gal in the boat 'cause my Jig fell out of her lip when I lifted her over the side She was apparently hooked well during the tussle thrashing the surface twice before settling down. A 1oz Grn Pmp Seibert Big O brush jig and Falcon Craw Rage Lobster trailer is working wonders and especially on the deep fish. Shallow ones seem to like lighter colors recently. I'm fishing open water rocks and drops with very little brush and using 25# Fluoro, so I'm trimming out several strands of the brush guard to improve the hooksets prior to getting them wet. Summer's still Hot here in Tx and hope some of you are getting on a good early Fall bite!
  2. As I have many jigs, sizes and colors etc., I use 4" rubbermaid stackable containers (like plastic butter container) then place them in a Jig Bag... A BIG JIG BAG And BTW, Seibert Outdoor Jigs are second to NONE
  3. What a great photo and Fish WTG!
  4. Healthy Fish WTG!
  5. Nice one ETB!
  6. There were actually 3 of them but one came unbuttoned at the boat and it wasn't necessary because I hurried her a bit too much
  7. Had a little FUN today, these two Lovely's were together on the same drop and both were Happy to PLAY... They just can't seem to pass up a Jig and JUICY Lobster! I think those BIG Flappin' Claws are just a bit more than they can bear Notice the one on the right, her fins are all tattered and she had the jig in her crushers, she was also the ROWDY ONE during the fight Hope y'all are having some SUMMER Fun TOO!
  8. I think there's been a lot of good jig trailer suggestions from others for you to consider. There have also been MANY jig trailer Topics here at BassResource so spending a few minutes to study them will probably be VERY helpful to you. Important to remember, a good jig trailer is a relative term due to the different waters and different conditions that we're faced with at any given time... So a variety of styles and/or colors are sometime necessary to tweak the bite to it's optimum. IMO, a great starting point is a Craw imitation. You can leave it long or pinch it down for a more compact presentation if that's the Bite preference. Also we should always be ready to change... In a slow or NO bite situation, keep mixing it up on style, size, color and presentation. EVEN when we're in a good bite, they can be GREAT bites if we tweak them correctly. Main thing is keep it FUN and Fish Safe!
  9. The original illustration was changed to show a Cut'R worm rigged weightless too, With TAIL UP...
  10. As to your question: "Are the Rage Lobsters more resilient to losing their claws?" Yes they are... because they are bigger and thicker than the smaller profile Rage Craw. The proportionate increase in size makes them a bit more resilient in any situation. But even the Rage Lobster can lose appendages with the aggressive side to side head shake when a fish is thrashing across the waters surface AND/OR a hot bass thrashes excessively while hanging on your line over the boat. The RAGE Twintail Menace has slightly shorter tails or appendages and with an even faster flapping motion or flicker rate. The shorter appendage actually makes it harder for a fish to tear them apart during aggressive battles but of course they're not indestructible either! Each of these different baits are similar yet different profiles for obvious reasons. For a fact... The priority in the design of each one is specifically for maximum action with minimum movement of the rod tip, fall rate or retrieve speed. I can't speak for other brands because I don't use them... Hope this helps and I'm glad you like them!
  11. Glad you're enjoying the Rage Rigged Craw... I think it's a great presentation on Most all waters I've fished as well!
  12. Good Stuff AJ!
  13. WTG man, very nice Catch!
  14. Welcome back and Fine catches too!
  15. It's Versatile for sure and hope you like'em when you get a chance to Fish'em. If you Rig it weightless... You might wanna rig the tail up and watch the fall has the body motion of senko style baits but the tail wags seductively from side to side too. You can also pinch it down on length as needed or for use as a trailer Hope you Have Fun with'em!
  16. Great story and WTG!
  17. Space Monkey
  18. NICE Brownies, WTG!
  19. Fantastic Fish Shane and Proud for you TOO
  20. Congrats on your new PB's!
  21. I've done the same too many times but usually after cleaning reels drag too loose will sometime keep the hookset from burying the point and or while trying to adjust the drag during the heat of the battle, I'll make a mistake on rod to fish position that gives her an advantage. Don't worry bout it, consider it one of your learning curves and be happy you got a good look at her
  22. My MORNING Coffee was Cut short when this LOVELY Slobber Knocker came onboard! She bit a 10" RAGE Thumper T rigged in Grn Pmp Purple Gold color. Sorry about the photo quality, it was on a pedestal and I'm not too good at that... and YES I spilled my coffee too
