  3. I met him and got a picture with him. He seems like a good ambassador to the sport of bass fishing. Saw him at the classic last year and he seemed nice then also.
  4. I didn't see it anywhere else posted so just wanted to let yall know KVD is going to be at the boat show sunday 1/16/11 in Cincinnati, Ohio. http://www.hartproductions.com/travel-sport-and-boat-show/
  5. I use both, but still use a lot of mono. I use it on almost all crankin, some topwater, spiltshot and some spinnerbait/buzzbait fishing.
  6. un-pegged and pegged t-rig for flippin and pitchin, jig head if draging it around the bottom or popping it out of weeds
  7. A single tail grub.
  8. I fished the Buckeye BFL for 2 years as a non boater before going to the boater side. It was a great experience for me. I had only fished out of a boat for bass like 2 times before fishing as a coangler, I learned a ton. Most guys are great to fish with, but every once in awhile you'll have a bad experience, but all in all its a great circuit to fish, a great way to learn and make new friends.
  9. 8lb+ smallie on Erie, western basin (Sandusky) 10lb LMB in Ohio? (It could happen, but also going to KY Lake and Gville)
  10. My dad and I will be driving in friday from Ohio, hope to meet some of you. Caleb
  11. Get some small rooster tails and panther martin inline spinners, these should catch some fish. Also may want to try some gulp alive leeches, they can be deadly. If you have live bait available try some minnows also. Good luck.
  12. farmpond1, agree with you on the northern pike, but walleye are still good
  13. thats funny...
  14. I think I go "Ike" from time to time. It feels good to let lose and just let your emotions fly. I get real pumped when I hook into a big catfish or carp while bass fishing, because a 30 pound fish is a 30 pound fish.
  15. Get some small hooks, ice jigs, road runners and then get some wax worms, small minnows, or crickets. Float some live bait on small hooks or ice jigs under a cork around any kind of structure and have fun. You can fish the road runner in deeper water with a yo-yo type retrieve. You can also try some small inline spinners. Hope this helps.
  16. If its a small lake stocked with small trout every year for the public to enjoy then use, powerbait, small worms, minnows under floats around the release area. Small spinners work also. If its a big, deep water lake that the trout live year round and grow up big then thats a different beast, that others could provide more help then me.
  17. Its a rule, its been a rule for a long time. Rules are made because no matter what level, pro or not, their will be some people that don't do the obvious, right thing. If you can be a touring bass pro and jugle all the things that come with that, you can carry a copy of insurance. Just my 2 cents.
  18. Happy Birthday! Hope you put all that to good use this year.
  19. I have had both and abused both. Can't say bad things about either, I have a Minn Kota now, I just like the foot pedal better. Just a thought have you looked at the new one out from BPS for 299.99? Don't know anything about it but its cheap.
  20. Nice. You load it in the truck bed for transport? 11ft is a great size.
  21. I scuba dive, but never in fresh water, yet... I carry snorkle gear with me on the boat sometime, but its for fun. Like said above i don't think diving is going to tell you much thats going to help.
  22. welcome.
