  3. Alluring! Thats it!. Shame they went OOB. I will che k out Big Bite. Bought some in Dicks the other day..5 stick baits for $1.
  4. Hello all... I have been out of fishing for about 5 years due to health issues. Slowly getting back into it. There was a sponsor on the boards who made great plastic baits? Father son?? Does anyone recall the name??
  5. It is on the bottom!! Thanks for the video. The eyes are the first thing to go!
  6. The handle spins backwards and forwards so I am assuming there is no AR . If you're looking to back reel this is your reel.
  7. The Catana reel I looked at today had no anti-reverse feature at all and as you said no switch.
  8. So the mechanism is still there?
  9. What is the purpose of Shimano removing the anti-reverse feature from their reels??
  10. The secret is that it must fall on a slack line. Also fish it slow. Sometimes they grab it on the fall but they will also take it after it hits bottom. When you see your line moving or feel that twitch....ser the hook.
  11. The spool says 8lb 10lb 12lb line approximates. I thought they were a bit big as well but very sturdy.
  12. Very simple....bass need cover. Put a Senko on the hook and throw it to and around cover. ( grass, trees, docks etc.) Important: the Senko has to fall on slack line for optimum fish catches. Good luck!!!
  13. Hello all... Does anyone know if Doc Waters baits are still available? I have been out of the fishing game for several years and just started getting back into it. Thanks in advance...
  14. Thank you..
  15. Hello all... Looking for a rod maker/repair in the RI area. I have a custom jig rod that needs one of the eyes replaced. Any help appreciated. AJR
  16. I have also been told that these reels were made in the USA and Japan but the Japanese versions are better built and more desired by collectors and fishermen alike.
  17. NOC 1 I like them...good quality. They are a bit heavy. A friend had a 2500 that I used for a while...also very nice and a good bit smaller. These are 4000 FE made in Japan... Forgot ro mention that... .
  18. Hello all... I just came upon 2 Shimano Stradic 4000 reels...old school with the pearl finish. I have been told that these are sought after and quite valuable. Both are in great shape. Comments? Opinions? Thanks in advance!
  19. Hey all!!!! Just a shout out of concern for all my brothers and sister on the Eastern seaboard. Batten down the hatches and hold on!!! We'll be fishing again on Monday with beautiful, clear weather (and hopefully not too much damage!!!) Peace, AJR
  20. Hey all, Hope everyone is having a great fishing season!! I had a situation today that I wanted to run by the members on the board. I recently purchased a Bass Pro Shops (made by Onyx)automatic/manual life vest. Today, the vest was sitting on the drivers seat with the kill switch cord attached and suddenly inflated. Scared the crap out of me!! It was not submerged nor was the manual pull string engaged. Anyone else ever had this problem with this vest?? Should i just take it back to BPS and explain what happened?? AJR
  21. A long discussed topic. Here is a good article I found on this topic. Still...is it memory or "instinct"?? http://www.outdoorpages.co.za/Fishing/BassFishing/Articles.asp?ID=69
  22. Use a chaterbait..black or white...vary the weight depending on the depth you are fishing. Slow roll it like you would a spinnerbait along the bottom. Good luck!!
  23. I have never heard of this. If they are charging sales tax on line, I won't be ordering from them anymore. Is there no where to get a break anymore??!!
