  1. Suggestion: Huddleston Hat. It has a Horse Shoe with a 4 Leaf Clover in the middle of it, on the back of the hat : )
  2. This is kind of a silly question . If it's a tourney it ok? I weigh them all. its' part of my fun. My weight and logs are all part of my own game . Lots of PB's to break when targeting big fish too. If you chose to target big fish. I take videos and one of the most common questions is "how big" . But if I weigh a few that go 4 to 6 lbs and set them free within 30 min where I caught them, Why is it OK to hold them all day in a well and put them in a bag, then put them in a basket , weigh them , put them back in a tank or your live well and let them go in a place far from home in the name of Gambling? I think weighing fish is not a problem at all as long as you take care of the catch. I think tourney or not most of us take good care of the catch. : ) Have fun!
  3. Only fun fished. No tourneys for 2014. I hit lots of big limits, 8 limits from 38 to 50 lbs (on a scale/scales) 7 of those all on video. Hit 14 DD's all on video but one (still shot) It was my best for most DD's in a year (no teens). Also made it to the 50 mark. Hard to put a grade on it when I hope to beat this too one year. You just never know how it will all unfold. It was a great year. Was happy to capture it and share it too. Im just glad to be playing out there. STOKED!!!! Good luck out there for 2015.
  4. To me the newest and greatest has been just that to me, now up to 52 over 10. I still have all my old dusty gear at stand by though. It just comes down to .... If you're Happy and you know it, Clap your hands.
  5. 8" Hudd and Deps 250, Rigged on 300 reel, 30# PF line XH or XXH swimbait rod. Fish it what ever way the fish want to hit it. And targeting BIG BASS ; )
  6. Rules also change because someone wins more than once or twice.
  7. Looks like a fun little pond to explore . It Shouldn't take long to learn. Without Electronics its hard to pin point or creap up on places without GPS. You can use the map and land marks and count your bait down is about it to find drops. Electronics and gps make life way better. Without them , just fish what you can see because you can't find what you can't see without them without spending a lot of time with primitive methods . GO have fun.
  8. Why, I don't know why. come on feel the noise, girls rock your boys..
  9. Well I catch my bass away from marinas but trout make their way around the lakes in time. Feeding areas are feeding areas and homes are homes. The fish everyone speaks of like that area/ spot already. Not just because trout are dumped. I haven't done better because they stock , but bass can get fatter. In small parks and ponds thats another story the area is already small not many miles and miles of shore.
  10. I went to the ISE Sacramento show. Didn't buy one thing lol But I sure had a Blast seeing for the 1st time in my life Jerry Mckinnis from Fishin Hole. Was nice talking to him. Sharing with him I back reel to this day with a spinning reel because of him. And these boys in this pic, some not shown, hanging out and talking big bass for about 2 hours with them over a beer (and Im not a drinker lol) was well worth their company, seeing old friends and making some new. Checking out whats coming new like a Daiwa 9 to 1 reel and all that fun stuff. I think I may go to more shows just to be with the people of and who love this sport. I guess thats what its about to me. I will go have fun with the people at the Fred Hall show too and get some Titos Tacos on the way lol. I could have bought a few things but had to much fun visiting because on the water ... it's just me. At the show it just people ; ) I also had a Blast this year at bassathon in Southern Calif too. I picked up a few things there but again had more fun with the people. They may not be what they were but if WE don't go , they won't be. I guess the pic didn't take.
  11. Wish I had two power polls on back but the cost of that is just to hard to justify to my wife lol
  12. I LOVE IT! I flip what you just said. Don't care for the old style I did for over 20 years. Im not burned out on holding big bass yet LOL!
  13. Just don't "down size" It kind of kills the purpose of "going big" ya know. Look at these little Spots choking down a 8" weedless hudd . Last 4 fish here plus the 7+ kicker were on the new Hudd rod with a 200 deep spool reel even (tatula) HD. One spot (not shown)m was only 2.12 lbs. So I know people say "we don't have fish like you here" but you do have them this small and they eat a 8" bait too LOL! I got off the 400 reel thing. Largemouth don't take drag unless you let them. The 400 spools are over kill. These smaller reels on the 300 size are doing fine. Get a rod to match the fish not the bait. These were setting the hook in deep water with 25# Copolymer with a weedless.
  14. No bed fishing here anymore. I do better not bed fishing
